Eddie looked down at the cute, playful little girl in confusion. He had no idea whose child she was, or why she knew him.
In the reflection on the car window behind her, he had already turned into a hideous, disgusting, filthy alien monster.
Wouldn't the sight of that scare the little girl to tears?
"Klee, right? I can't play with you right now. Go home and find your mommy, okay? Be good! Go on! Hurry!"
Seeing that she hadn't budged, Eddie hurriedly urged her to leave.
Little Klee blinked, her expression utterly innocent.
"But Klee can't find Mommy right now. Klee has Dodoco to play with, though." She held up the doll on her bag to show Eddie.
"Ah, well..."
Eddie had only meant to get this child away from him as quickly as possible. Even setting aside the people hunting him, his strange physical condition and tenuous grip on his sanity might end up getting her hurt.
He hadn't expected to stumble into learning something like that about her.
It was all that damn parasite's fault, Eddie cursed inwardly.

She didn't understand, but she was deeply impressed.
