Just as the wight's icy hands were about to touch Lynn's neck...
Lynn's right hand whipped out from his side!
A cold, silvery gleam suddenly flashed in the dim room's firelight!
The Valyrian Steel Dagger!
The legendary weapon, said to have been forged in dragonfire and imbued with magic, that Ned Stark had given him for saving Bran!
Now!
Lynn gave it no time to react.
He had never formally learned to fight with a dagger. He simply poured every ounce of strength he had into that single thrust!

A faint but distinct sound rang out, like a hot knife slicing through butter.
Before the Valyrian steel blade, the wight's tough skin was as fragile as a sheet of thin paper.
The dagger pierced the underside of the wight's jaw without resistance and drove straight through its skull!
The icy blue flames burning in the wight's eyes rapidly faded before his eyes.
Finally, they went out completely.
Dead silence.
The room instantly fell as silent as the grave.
The wight collapsed limply onto Lynn, becoming a corpse in the truest sense.
Lynn lay on the floor, his chest heaving as he gulped down air.
Having killed a wight with his own hands, Lynn couldn't stop the corners of his mouth from curling upward.
This was his first battle against a moving wight since he had crossed into this world.
At least it proved to everyone in the Night's Watch that these dead creatures weren't invincible. They could die too.
The system's cold notification sounded belatedly in his mind.
[Wight killed. Experience +10]
That was a fair
