The five hatchlings ate rapidly while frantically absorbing the golden energy around them. They drew in thirty percent of the golden energy spreading through Oldtown Docks.
Perhaps this was because the energy erupting from the underground chamber beneath Oldtown had allowed them to hatch early. The amount of golden energy they absorbed in a given span of time was actually no less than that absorbed by Amoros and the other adult Great Dragons.
By the time they had devoured all the chunks of sea monster flesh, the golden hatchling had already grown to over a meter long. That nearly matched several months of growth for an ordinary Great Dragon.
The other hatchlings were much the same. Even the smallest white dragon was approaching a meter in length. Their scales were also far harder than those of ordinary Great Dragons of the same size, and their Dragon Wings had inherited their mother's excellent genes, making them considerably larger in proportion to their bodies than those of ordinary Great Dragons.
This would greatly improve their flight and agility in the future. Moreover, the digits on their Dragon Wings were already on the verge of evolving to five, bringing their bloodline close to the highest tier among two-legged Great Dragons.
With her bloodline, speed, and fighting strength all enhanced once again, Amoros soon hunted down a sea monster whose body had mostly recovered.
The surviving sea monsters now contained several times more energy than before, so after Amoros ate most of the sea monster's head, her ravenous hunger eased considerably.
When she brought the rest of the carcass back to her hatchlings, however, she discovered that they had already devoured the smaller portion of the previous sea monster. They were now staring hungrily at the fresh sea monster Amoros had brought back!
