Crack!

A brilliant bolt of lightning split the sky, and torrential rain followed close behind.

Under the downpour, blood washed across the ships' decks and flowed straight into the sea, slowly staining the dark waters a faint red.

Some power within the members of Pattirios seemed to have been ignited and awakened. An irresistible urge drove them into ever greater excitement as they sang. The furnace holding the three Dragon Eggs seemed to draw strength from it as well, its flames burning hotter and higher.

Patirius, who stood closest to the Dragon Eggs, could faintly sense a warm power continually gathering around them and flowing into the three eggs. He was so excited that his teeth began to chatter uncontrollably.

None of them noticed, however, that the temperature inside the cabin had become decidedly abnormal.

The Triarchy's mercenaries, the mercenaries of the Pattirios fleet, and the pirates of the Stepstones had all become utterly bloodthirsty. A strange power had thoroughly ignited the wicked fire in their hearts. Only endless slaughter could relieve the negative emotions growing ever hotter within them, as though about to set them ablaze.

Whooo!

Just then, another piercing horn call suddenly rang out.

Everyone instinctively turned toward the sound. Some two hundred ships of the Purple Fleet had appeared on the nearby sea in orderly formation.

"Fuck! Those bitches from Braavos came to join the fun too!"

"Those sneaky, treacherous bastards! Sooner or later, I'll take all your heads and use them as chamber pots!"

The pirate leader immediately understood what had happened. He had never imagined that the Triarchy, which had been waiting to swoop in on the spoils, had a hunting falcon lurking behind it.

"Brothers, retreat!"

At the sight of the enormous Purple Fleet, everyone in the melee had already stopped fighting.
