"After lying dormant for so long, I can finally form a new body!"
The hatchling's voice was not a dragon's roar. Instead, human speech sounded directly in Danyla's mind, deep and majestic, carrying an ancient echo.
Danyla was utterly stunned by the sight before her. This newborn dragon, capable of speaking human language-albeit the language of her previous life-bore an uncanny resemblance to the Eastern Yinglong she remembered.
Her body was long and elegant, even more slender in proportion than Bloodworm Quicksilver's. Her golden-red scales lay tightly packed like fish scales, each edged with a faint golden glow, as though lava and divine radiance flowed beneath them.
Her head was longer and narrower than an ordinary hatchling's, with a pair of backward-curving Dragon Horns rising from her brow. They resembled burning flames, their tips shimmering with faint golden light. Two long whiskers drifting from her snout made her look extraordinarily majestic.
Most wondrous of all, she had four legs, and her two pairs of wings were not the membranous wings of conventional dragons. They were formed from countless tiny flame feathers, each like solidified holy fire, swaying gently with her breathing and scattering sparks.
"You... you aren't really Yinglong, are you?"
Danyla knew this dragon had been born from Blazing Flame, which had dwelled within her, so although she was astonished, she was not afraid.
"Alas! I only resemble one!"
"Still, at least I have a new body. With this worthless bloodline, who knows how long I'll have to sleep before I can grow."
The hatchling slowly stretched her body. Her tail was longer than an ordinary dragon's, ending in forked, fiery spikes. Each gentle sway left a scorching afterimage in the air.
Her eyes were pure crimson gold. Though no pupils were visible, they seemed to hold boundless wisdom
