And so, they waited for nearly two hours before Chrome slowly woke up.
Opening his eyes, Chrome stared at the sky and rubbed his groggy head.
"Right... Senku!" Chrome suddenly remembered what he had meant to do and shouted.
The others working in the distance heard Chrome's voice, stopped what they were doing, and gathered around him.
"Chrome suddenly looks so energetic," Suika said, looking at him.
"He does. He's much better than when we first saw him looking half-dead," Kohaku confirmed as she studied Chrome.
"Forget about that. Senku, come with me!" Chrome waved the others away, then grabbed Senku's hand and pulled him off.
The others watched the two leave. Since they still had work to do, only Suika and Gen followed.
They arrived at the stream and stared in astonishment at the wooden contraption running in the water.
"I'm pretty amazing, but the blades of science are powerful too! Without this Iron Blade, making this thing would've been next to impossible," old Kaseki said excitedly, showing off the serrated blade in his hand.
"What do you think, Senku? Pretty impressive invention, huh?" Chrome asked excitedly. Senku had seen through his Magnet Technique with a single remark before, but this invention would definitely even the score.
"You could look a little more surprised," Kaseki suggested.
"It's a waterwheel," Senku said flatly.
"You know this one too?!" Chrome and Kaseki collapsed the instant they heard the word come out of Senku's mouth.
Another failure...
Senku examined the waterwheel. Its movement was basic and its construction simple. Though it wasn't particularly useful, it was quite impressive by primitive people's standards.
"Suika, go get Chen Yu. Tell him someone's here to challenge his country's craftsmanship," Senku said, struck by an idea as he turned toward Suika, who was watching curiously.
