"This is bad!"
The Heaven Toad Ancestor, who had been standing solemnly in the air, blanched at the sight. The golden toad on his shoulder suddenly opened its mouth, shooting a long strand of golden light straight toward one of the balls of white light.
Beside him, the old monk murmured, "Blessings," and reached into the air. A huge, pale golden phantom hand appeared and grabbed at the other ball of white light.
The two Demonic Path cultivators opposite them moved almost simultaneously.
Amid the billowing black mist, the indistinct figure slapped the enormous banner. It immediately flipped upside down, pointing its tip downward, and spat out a black beam. In a flash, the beam overtook the golden strand released by the Heaven Toad Ancestor's spirit beast and struck it.
With a muffled bang, the golden strand was knocked off course and pierced past the white ball of light.
On the other side, the beautiful woman in the bright red sedan chair giggled and reached down with her slender hand. Another enormous phantom hand, this one pink, appeared above the white ball of light and slapped at the pale golden hand.
A thunderous boom rang out.
The two phantom hands collided. The pink hand crumbled inch by inch, while the pale golden hand merely paused and grew indistinct in the air.
The beautiful woman's pupils contracted at the sight, and her smile faded considerably.
Yet in that brief delay, the two balls of white light had flashed away and plunged into the enormous white halo.
A low rumbling rose from the white halo, where something seemed to be taking shape.
The Heaven Toad Ancestor's and Guangfa's expressions darkened.
Just then, two streaks of flight light, one red and one green, shot skyward from the camp below. They blurred, then resolved
