Outside the White Mist Sea.
Above a mountain peak, black mist churned, with Bone Boats faintly visible coming and going.
On a bone chair at the center of the black mist sat a gigantic, four-armed White Bone Fiend. A middle-aged man in black robes stood before him, respectfully reporting:
"Reporting to you, Patriarch, after the disciples' probes and the Formation Apprentices accompanying us made their calculations, we have tentatively determined that this is an illusion formation barely approaching the third tier. However, it seems to have been laid down so long ago that most of its restrictive seals have failed, greatly diminishing its power. It can now exert only second-tier power."
"As long as you are willing to help, Patriarch, breaking this Magic Array should not be particularly difficult."
"Utterly useless. You still need me to act before you can break the formation. Formation Apprentices are only Formation Apprentices, after all. Had I known the treasure site in this Secret Realm had a formation like this, I would have brought a true Formation Master." The gigantic White Bone Fiend spoke in a buzzing voice, sounding decidedly displeased.
"Please forgive us, Patriarch. Those two Formation Apprentices from our sect have already done everything they can."
"Most of the restrictive seals at the Formation Eye remain intact. That is why we need your help, Patriarch. We truly have no other choice," the middle-aged man in black robes replied, sweat glimmering on his forehead, though he did not dare wipe it away.
"Very well. If I must waste a little Dharma Power, so be it. Go arrange the others first. Once this Magic Array is broken, surround this place completely. Do not let so much as a fly escape," the four-armed White Bone Fiend ordered, green light flickering in his eyes.
"Yes, Patriarch."
