"I'd never heard that those two were friends. Now they've joined forces as soon as they entered our Three Venerable Stone Market. That certainly is suspicious," Heavenly Light Daoist replied thoughtfully.
"But they probably never imagined that, although Fellow Daoist Solid Rock appears to be the only one guarding the stone market, all three of us are actually here," the Five-Stone Immortal Maiden said with a cold chuckle.
"Mm. With three Golden Core cultivators here, they shouldn't be able to stir up much trouble. But why have all these third-tier demons suddenly gathered at the Three Venerable Stone Market? What exactly are they plotting?
"A Golden Core opportunity may be rare, but surely they don't need to make such a grand show of it. As long as they're willing to spend heaps of spirit stones opening stones, would the market stop them even if they really uncovered that opportunity?" After a moment's consideration, Heavenly Light Daoist shook his head.
"Speaking of that, I happened to hear an even more secretive piece of news in the stone market, though I don't know whether it's true," the Five-Stone Immortal Maiden said, a trace of hesitation appearing on her face.
"Fellow Daoist Five Stones, at a time like this, what news could you possibly need to keep under wraps?" Heavenly Light Daoist glanced at the woman, looking somewhat displeased.
"Hehe, it's not that I want to hide it. I simply found the news so unbelievable, so unlikely to be true, that I wasn't sure whether I should mention it." The woman giggled, her voice unexpectedly becoming pleasant and entirely different from before. Even her ordinary face suddenly took on a hint of charm.
"Oh? If even you find it unbelievable, this must be something extraordinary. Speak freely. I'll judge its truth for myself."
