The Juvenile Void Beast quieted down and stared blankly into Su Mo's eyes.
It gazed at the utter sincerity in his eyes and stood dazed for a long time.

The Juvenile Void Beast lowered its head to look into the abyss below, then looked back up at Su Mo.
After a long while... its body began to shrink until it was as tall as Su Mo, and then it approached him cautiously.
It sniffed his scent, slowly rubbed its head gently against his consciousness body, then opened its mouth and let out a sound like an infant's cry...
This sound, however, expressed not fear, but acceptance.
Su Mo stared blankly at the Void Beast, which could actually shrink. He immediately turned a somewhat bewildered gaze toward the thousand-zhang-tall Giant God behind him and asked in puzzlement, "Void Beasts can shrink too?"
The Giant God was equally puzzled. He kept staring at the Void Beast and said in bewilderment, "Void Beasts are called Void Beasts because they wield the Power of Rules of the void. Shrinking probably counts as that power too... but..."
"But I only know of Void Beasts shrinking after accepting a master. I've never heard of one being willing to shrink before accepting a master..."
As Su Mo and the Giant God spoke, the Void Beast nuzzled Su Mo, then opened its mouth and licked his hand.
Su Mo turned to look at the Juvenile Void Beast, which remained enormous even after shrinking. The Void Beast immediately looked at him with some fear again and opened its mouth to cry out at him...
Its voice was like an infant's cry, delicate and drawn-out.
Su Mo reached out and gently stroked the Juvenile Void Beast's head, and it rubbed its head against his hand.
