The Book of Life and Death... was huge, absolutely enormous, standing a person and a half tall. It hung high in the void above his Spirit Sea, like a gigantic, closed gate from ancient times.
The intricate, eerie patterns tracing its pitch-black cover gave Human One an indescribable feeling, as though they were some sort of runes from the Unseen.
The large, dark-red words "Book of Life and Death" shimmered with a faint, dim light on the cover, like an epitaph carved into a tombstone.
Wisps of black mist wreathed the Book of Life and Death, lending it an intensely eerie air.
It was just like... Su Mo frowned, then suddenly thought of something. He turned toward the Great Calamity and asked in shock.
"Doesn't this look like someone put two tomb doors together?"
The woman known as the Great Calamity froze, then examined the Book of Life and Death closely... it really did have something of a tomb's sepulchral air. It certainly didn't look like anything from the world of the living!
The Great Calamity turned back to Su Mo. "Hurry up and try what it can do..."
"All right!" Su Mo nodded, then stared blankly at his Book of Life and Death.

The Great Calamity couldn't help speaking up. "Go on, use it!"
"How?" Su Mo asked.
"You're the Confucian Cultivator, and you're asking me
