The setting sun sank onto the distant mountains, casting red clouds across half the sky.
The beautiful sky told Su Mo and the others that evening had arrived.
The few flowers beside the Passageway seemed to have had enough of the day's scorching sun. They furled their blossoms and spread their green leaves, absorbing nutrients from the earth in the evening.
Looking at the quiet village before them, the group shook their heads without giving it much thought.
Third Senior Sister closed her eyes, seemingly waiting for something.
The other Academy disciples all squatted down, waiting in utter boredom. Only Luo Yin stood quietly to one side...
Watching the Academy disciples, Luo Yin seemed a little confused and asked timidly, "What are you doing?"
Sixth Senior Sister raised her head. "Waiting for Third Senior Sister to call little Black Horse! It's so far away. Who knows how long it'll take him to get here?"
The corner of Luo Yin's mouth twitched in a thoroughly down-to-earth fashion. After spending so long at the Academy, she was gradually becoming like its members.
If she hadn't needed to hold fast to her true self, she would certainly have squatted on the ground with the others.
"But... why don't you fly back yourselves?" Luo Yin held back for quite a while before finally asking.
"That'd be exhausting!"
"Exactly... it's so far!"
"Don't want to move. Don't want to move..."
"Sleepy!"
"..."
The Academy disciples answered as though it were only natural, their responses remarkably unanimous.
Luo Yin covered her face helplessly and looked toward Su Mo, only to freeze.
Su Mo was staring blankly at the tranquil, peaceful village before him...
"What's wrong?" Luo Yin stepped forward, looking at Su Mo's profile, then at the village he was staring at.
She found nothing amiss!
