In the Underworld, Northern Deep’s ghost-god ancestors realized their descendants were under attack just as shattered Yang Spirits fell toward them.

  • Wang Quan targeted the Northern Deep Foundation Establishment Grand Cultivators with his treasures, killing one Yang Spirit and overwhelming the others.
  • Northern Deep cultivators summoned a blade-and-shield magic treasure, which flew to attack Wang Quan as he continued slaughtering the household’s blood descendants and connected living beings.

Ch. 442Come On, Let's Have Some Fun

Their descendants and fleeing cultivators then mistook the immobilized ghost gods for protectors and began feasting in the Underworld.

  • The Northern Deep ghost gods despaired as the Sky Patrol Magic Treasure appeared overhead and locked onto them.
  • A Northern Deep ghost god persuaded the others to use the Great One statue as a shield, but the statue rose from its chest on its own.
  • The statue seized nine Northern Deep ghost gods, burned them as incense, and vanished through layers of the world.
  • Yang Spirits and Yin Spirits fled into Northern Deep City and begged their immobilized ancestors to save them.
  • Fleeing cultivators and Monsters saw the ghost gods and assumed they were safe, so they held a feast and pulled later arrivals into it.

Ch. 443The Saber and Shield Fled, All They Could Do Was Think

  • Wang Quan announced that he had come to bring the Northern Deep Household war and death, then let a fox demon kill and eat one of its members in revenge.
  • Wang Quan invited the assembled beings to invent persecution stories, and they competed to accuse the Northern Deep Household so he would spare them.
  • Wang Quan ordered the crowd to fight one another, and the survivors devoured the ghost gods to prove they had severed their ties.
  • Wang Quan chained the Northern Deep ghost gods and demanded they lend him their power to pursue the fleeing Magic Treasure, threatening them with a strike if they failed.
  • The ghost gods decided not to kill Wang Quan and chose to cooperate in hopes that he would spare them.

Ch. 445One Piece of the Northern Deep Lineage's Plan

Wang Quan used the Northern Deep ghost gods to track a fleeing saber-and-shield magic treasure and learned that their lineage had secretly tampered with it. The treasure was heading for Great Void Gate branch 888, where Beiming Qingyang was entertaining friends and recalling how his lineage groomed him to support a senior clansman.

  • Wang Quan forced the Northern Deep ghost gods to help him form a tracking eye, which revealed the saber-and-shield magic treasure’s route.
  • The crane-shaped, tortoise-shelled ghost god realized the treasure was fleeing toward a Great Void Gate branch and warned Wang Quan it would arrive in six to ten hours.
  • A ghost god revealed that the Northern Deep lineage had planted a hidden trick in the saber and shield, prompting the others to help Wang Quan pursue it faster.
  • Beiming Qingyang emerged from seclusion and hosted a lavish banquet at Great Void Gate branch 888.
  • Beiming Qingyang remembered that his lineage had chosen him to cultivate a golden core and assist an older clansman at Supreme Void headquarters, using the magic treasure’s blessing to support his advancement.

Ch. 446How Did My Saber and Shield Suddenly Disappear?

Beiming Qingyang tried to save his saber-and-shield Magic Treasures from a pursuing winged eyeball by using a Dao Seal Cultivator’s spell to send them Dharma Power from afar. The treasures escaped into the Second-Layer World, where he could no longer sense them.

  • Beiming Qingyang told his drinking companions that his Lineage’s saber-and-shield Magic Treasures were flying toward him, and they praised his connections and treasures.
  • Beiming Qingyang learned that someone was attacking his treasures and hired a female Dao Seal Cultivator, who attached the perfected spell A Thousand-Li Marriage Bound by a Single Thread to him.
  • Beiming Qingyang used hundreds of Spell Pills and sandalwood incense to replenish his treasures’ Dharma Power from afar while his friends supplied more Spell Pills.
  • The female Dao Seal Cultivator privately judged that the winged eyeball’s pursuer was far more formidable than Beiming Qingyang and that his treasures were unlikely to survive.
  • Beiming Qingyang’s saber and shield failed to shake off the winged eyeball, then plunged into the Second-Layer World and vanished from his senses.

Ch. 447Fellow Daoist Flower-Scatter, Help Me

  • [Ghost Emperor Heart] turned his blood into a letter, thanked Wang Quan, and asked him to deliver it to his good friend.

Ch. 448Soaring, Falling, Annihilation

Wang Quan used the [Northern Deep] ghost gods to power a ritual that helped the giant eyeball battle the evil beings pursuing the great ship, while the [Twenty-Four Maces] returned to him. He then unleashed the [Sky Patrol Magic Treasure] on [Northern Deep] City, destroying its ghost gods and everything around them.

  • The cloaked phantom led evil beings into the Second-Layer World to pursue the [Twenty-Four Maces], but their power weakened and the phantom fled to the Third Layer, leaving some stranded.
  • Wang Quan drained the souls clinging to hundreds of [Northern Deep] ghost gods to fuel the ritual, and the giant eyeball used that power to fight the evil beings pursuing the great ship.
  • The three-tailed fox demon and horse demon pleaded with Wang Quan, but their souls and the other drained souls shattered into ashes.
  • The [Northern Deep] ghost gods tried pleading, bargaining, and threatening Wang Quan, but he ignored them as the ritual reduced them to skin and bones.
  • After two hours, the [Twenty-Four Maces] returned through the Underworld shortcut, and Wang Quan confirmed the treasure was undamaged.

  • Little Giant Serpent boasted about its prosperous route-running life and planned to marry Little White and Little Green before meeting Wang Quan on a cliff.
  • Little Giant Serpent dismissed Wang Quan’s claim that he owned Riverside Mountain, then climbed faster when Inspection Office cultivators arrived to catch it.
  • The Inspection Office cultivators stopped to fish instead of arresting Little Giant Serpent because they lacked the absent owner’s permission.
  • Little Giant Serpent reached the summit, released thousands of people from chicken eggs, and sent them down the mountain with the Flower Sprites.
  • Little Giant Serpent offered to introduce Wang Quan to King Millstone and described Queen Flower and Fairy Sunset Glow as the mountain’s other powerful figures.

Ch. 452The Three Kings of Riverside Mountain

Wang Quan surveyed Riverside Mountain and learned how the Three Kings had turned it into a thriving industrial center for cultivating Spirit Monsters, producing goods, and training cultivators. He saw the mountain’s many enterprises, including Spirit Brick manufacturing, while the Flower Sprite prepared a troupe to welcome him.

Ch. 453News from the Bear Spirits

Wang Quan encountered a band of bear spirits who could no longer gather sunlight, moonlight, or starlight without worshipping the Great Sun, and took them toward Seven Maidens Mountain to work for his friend. He remained puzzled by why he could gather sunlight freely while they could not, as the terrified bears warned him that a Great Devil King lived on the mountain.

  • The little Giant Serpent dismissed the Daoist who had vanished, then went to clock in and seek a matchmaker for his seventy-second concubine.
  • Wang Quan reached the road to Seven Maidens Mountain and defeated a band of bear-spirit highway robbers who demanded three hundred Green Fly Coins.
  • The bear spirits told Wang Quan they could gather none of the sun, moon, or star essences without worship, though they could still gather water and earth essences.
  • Wang Quan bound the bear spirits with vines and chains, saying he would find them jobs with his friend on Seven Maidens Mountain.
  • Wang Quan gathered sunlight with his Fundamental Method and wondered why he could do so freely while the bear spirits could not.
  • The bear spirits warned Wang Quan that Seven Maidens Mountain held a Great Devil King, but he blocked their mouths and continued toward the mountain.

Ch. 454When We Meet Again, Just as We Were Back Then

Wang Quan returned to Seven Maidens Mountain and reunited with Qian Xiuyue, then told her about the Polar Lands’ dangers and Stone City’s bottleneck. Qian Xiuyue proposed helping him strengthen the region’s foundations with the Great Sun Alliance’s latest creation, the [Ritual Spirit].

  • Wang Quan brought escaped bear spirits to Seven Maidens Mountain, where an eagle spirit monster agreed to find them work.
  • Wang Quan contacted Qian Xiuyue and hurried to meet her as she performed a ritual with a Big Face spirit.
  • Wang Quan and Qian Xiuyue greeted each other and reminisced before he declined her offer of a feast, explaining that he had old affairs to settle and planned to visit Senior Sister Round Face.
  • Wang Quan described the dangers of the Polar Lands and explained that Stone City had reached a bottleneck in strengthening its foundations.
  • Qian Xiuyue said the Polar Lands lacked basic foundations such as seasons and the sun, moon, and stars, then offered to help using the Great Sun Alliance’s latest [Ritual Spirit].

Ch. 455Ritual Spirits, Seven Maidens Mountain, Changes

Wang Quan learned about Qian Xiuyue’s [Ritual Spirits] and promised to help her gather Purple Mansion materials after he opened his own. He heard that Senior Sister Round Face’s Lineage was struggling in the Second-Layer World, then set out to visit her with a [Ritual Spirit] plant.

  • Qian Xiuyue explained that [Ritual Spirits] mechanically worshipped the Great Sun and could multiply with the help of strong donkey spirits, but their reproduction was slow.
  • Wang Quan said he could not focus on the [Ritual Spirits] until after opening his Purple Mansion, then promised to help Qian Xiuyue gather materials afterward.
  • Qian Xiuyue told Wang Quan that Senior Sister Round Face’s Lineage had faced trouble in the Second-Layer World despite receiving sunlight and buying newer Spirit iterations.
  • Wang Quan offered Qian Xiuyue the location of [Northern Deep] City and its Second-Layer safe zone, but she declined because it was small and too far away.
  • Wang Quan decided to visit Senior Sister Round Face, and Qian Xiuyue asked him to take her a [Ritual Spirit] plant.

Ch. 456The Foundation Establishment Lords Had Passed Away

The Round-Faced Daoist Nun’s Lineage faced mounting attacks in both the Present World and its second-layer safe zone. Wang Quan killed the Foundation Establishment Grand Cultivators who had been tormenting the Lineage, and news of their deaths reached their servants.

  • The Round-Faced Daoist Nun struggled to protect her Lineage as anomalies killed ordinary people and enemies destroyed its fields, martial sects, and businesses.
  • In the second-layer world, seven or eight Foundation Establishment Grand Cultivators complained about guarding the Lineage’s safe zone while their underlings harassed its members.
  • Wang Quan appeared through a water mirror and used its reflected spells to wound the Foundation Establishment Grand Cultivators.
  • The Grand Cultivators’ talismans failed to stop their injuries, and they collapsed as Underworld ghosts and monsters dragged out and devoured their souls.
  • The mirror shattered into fragments that formed Wang Quan, while servants in the Present World cried out that the Foundation Establishment lords had passed away.

Ch. 457The Waters of This World Are Too Deep for Me to Handle

Wang Quan reunited with the Round-Faced Daoist Nun and learned that the [Northern Deep] and [Western Extremity] clans had conspired to release anomalies and destroy safe zones. The Round-Faced Daoist Nun asked him to help confront the powerful forces threatening her Lineage, while Wang Quan reflected on the limits of his strength.

  • Wang Quan reunited with the Round-Faced Daoist Nun and invited her to inspect the memories of the Foundation Establishment Grand Cultivators he had killed.
  • Wang Quan and the Round-Faced Daoist Nun discovered that the masters of [Northern Deep] and [Western Extremity] had ordered the release of anomalies and the destruction of safe zones outside their own territories.
  • The Round-Faced Daoist Nun explained that she had kept expanding her safe zone because she trusted Wang Quan to return and help her reclaim it.
  • Wang Quan reflected that his reserves and authorities might not protect him against stronger cultivators or a future war.
  • Wang Quan and the Round-Faced Daoist Nun shared what they knew about [Northern Deep] and [Western Extremity], and she asked him to help her handle the dangers threatening her Lineage.

Ch. 458Join forces and curb their arrogance

Wang Quan planned to punish the Western Extremity household for destroying safe zones, while its Foundation Establishment cultivators discovered their dead and tried to summon stronger investigators. When their incense went out, they fled, and the last cultivator chased after them.

  • Wang Quan and his round-faced senior sister agreed to strike the Western Extremity household, and she prepared ritual materials for his Five-Colored Altar.
  • Wang Quan condemned the Northern Deep and Western Extremity clans for destroying safe zones that generations of orthodox cultivators had struggled to establish.
  • Western Extremity Foundation Establishment cultivators found their dead, failed to uncover how they had been killed, and decided to summon Purple Mansion or Golden Core experts.
  • The incense used to summon help went out, and the cultivators concluded that the killer was casting spells against them.
  • The Western Extremity cultivators fled when urged to join forces, and the last one transformed into earthen-yellow light to chase after them.

Ch. 459A Small Display of Skill, Awaiting the Golden Core

Wang Quan trapped and killed three waves of Foundation Establishment cultivators from the [Western Extremity] Aristocratic Clan, then withdrew when a Golden Core Cultivator arrived. He reassured the Round-Faced Daoist Nun that he could handle the clan and asked her to prepare a simple banquet.

  • The [Western Extremity] cultivators trapped in Wang Quan’s mirror realized they had died and learned that their bodies had been made into puppets, warriors, and pools of flesh and blood.
  • Wang Quan ambushed and killed three successive groups of Foundation Establishment cultivators, then stopped when the clan sent a Golden Core Cultivator.
  • The Round-Faced Daoist Nun worried that the Golden Core Cultivator would track them down and urged Wang Quan to flee.
  • Wang Quan refused to leave, saying the Round-Faced Daoist Nun and her Lineage would otherwise be destroyed and claiming he had ways to deal with the clan.
  • Wang Quan asked the Round-Faced Daoist Nun to prepare a simple banquet, and she asked whether he would use the same method he had used against the [Northern Deep] Household.

Ch. 460Never Prepare the Banquet in Advance

Wang Quan refined Drowning Water while Senior Sister Round Face organized her Lineage, and the [Western Extremity] Household sent seven or eight Golden Core Cultivators to investigate the dead Foundation Establishment cultivators. After discovering Wang Quan’s Magic Treasure and concluding he was probably only a Foundation Establishment Cultivator, the Golden Cores agreed to confront him and reclaim it.

  • Wang Quan refined Drowning Water as Senior Sister Round Face cleared and reorganized the safe zone, while he told her to wait before dealing with the Present World’s anomalies.
  • Senior Sister Round Face resolved not to return to the Drowning Dao Lower Court if Wang Quan could not handle the [Western Extremity] Household.
  • The [Western Extremity] Lineage head sent seven or eight Golden Core Cultivators to investigate the deaths, then secretly ordered a grand banquet prepared despite their warning not to prepare one in advance.
  • The Golden Core Cultivators descended into the Present World, where their pressure destroyed Wang Quan’s Paper People and Wang Quan recalled the [Light-Splitting Mirror].
  • The Golden Core Cultivators traced Wang Quan’s spells, decided he was likely a Foundation Establishment Cultivator with a Magic Treasure, and agreed to confront him and demand its return.
