Ch. 601I Really Don't Want to Disappear

Wang Quan learned that the memory world was about to collapse and that the boys and girls would merge back into their original selves. Before the reset, they gave him an Imperial Scripture and revealed that their former headquarters had been shattered and scattered.

  • Wang Quan noticed the memory world becoming crude and realized its collapse might free him without finding the real [Miracle Palace].
  • The boys and girls told Wang Quan they had recovered their original memories and would return to the Real World when the memory world collapsed.
  • The girl who liked betrothal gifts explained that the boys and girls would be absorbed into their original selves, though those selves might remember Wang Quan fondly.
  • The boys and girls gave Wang Quan a box containing a volume of an Imperial Scripture to repay him for teaching them the [Mechanical Great Emperor's Cerebral Nerves].
  • The girl missing one bear told Wang Quan that a terrifying being had shattered the Ruins Sect's former headquarters into fragments.
  • As the sky and earth cracked apart ahead of another reset, the boys and girls gazed at the fading world and said, "I really don't want to disappear!"

Ch. 602This Was Not the Answer He Wanted

Wang Quan watched the ghost gods awaken after the remembered past shattered, then spoke with a ghost-god girl who emerged from a damaged statue. Her account of surviving the cataclysms offered only luck and outlasting others, leaving Wang Quan wondering whether he had to follow [Taboo]'s methods.

  • The remembered past shattered, and Wang Quan stayed behind as the other ghosts and monsters fled from the awakening stone statues.
  • A damaged ghost-god statue broke apart, and its occupant shrank into a girl resembling the betrothal-gift girl from Wang Quan's memory.
  • The ghost-god girl recognized Wang Quan and offered to repay him for awakening the ghost gods.
  • Wang Quan asked how the ghost gods survived the cataclysms and how the weak could survive the coming one.
  • The girl said her group survived by luck and advised Wang Quan to join a larger group and outlast its other members.
  • Disappointed by her answer, Wang Quan wondered whether he had to use [Taboo]'s methods.

Ch. 603Linking to the First Layer of the Underworld

Wang Quan asked the ghost-gods to help link the Second Layer of the Underworld to the First, then built a manor and began a ritual to connect to City No. 95. The ghost-gods agreed to help with the Second Layer but warned that their enemies made the Third Layer too dangerous for them to enter.

  • The ghost-god girl asked Wang Quan what [Taboo] had told him, and he repeated the advice to keep killing.
  • The ghost-gods discussed the cataclysms, and the girl missing one breast said she would keep fighting the evil in the Second-Layer World if she survived.
  • When asked how he wanted them to repay him, Wang Quan requested help linking the Second and First Layers of the Underworld, and the ghost-gods agreed to assist.
  • The ghost-gods explained that their feud with the Third Layer's inhabitants prevented them from helping Wang Quan there, so he focused on linking the First Layer instead.
  • Wang Quan used ritual materials, paper craftsmen, and beings from his Foundation Establishment Dao Platform to build a manor, then began a ritual linking to City No. 95 in the First Layer.

Ch. 604Why Didn't You Let Me Know Beforehand?

Wang Quan connected the First and Second Layers of the Underworld, improving conditions throughout City No. 95. A Wild Ox Ghost God entered the Second Layer and confronted Wang Quan, claiming the new courtyard stood in his sanctuary.

  • Dao Seal Cultivators detected tremors and white light that linked the two Underworld layers, and they cheered when they realized Wang Quan had made the connection.
  • Ghosts and monsters in City No. 95 noticed their spells and refined materials had become more effective.
  • A ghost god decided to enter the Second Layer, hoping to escape forced labor and claim power there.
  • The Wild Ox Ghost God descended into the Second Layer and found Wang Quan and a group of youths and maidens outside a manor.
  • The Wild Ox Ghost God introduced himself and demanded to know why Wang Quan had built a courtyard in his tranquil sanctuary without telling him beforehand.

Ch. 605The Old Man Who Lifted the Coffin Lid

The ox-monster ghost god returned to City No. 95 after being beaten and beheaded by the towering ghost gods of the Second Layer, warning everyone not to descend. An old man emerged from a coffin asking who had connected the Underworld layers, then vanished into a vortex after learning Wang Quan was in the Second Layer.

  • The ghost gods of the Second Layer beat the ox-monster ghost god, destroyed his head, and threw his body into City No. 95.
  • The ox-monster ghost god fashioned a stone head and warned that more than a thousand enormous ghost gods lived in the Second Layer and obeyed Wang Quan.
  • The city’s ghost gods and Dao Seal Cultivators debated why the Second Layer’s ghost gods followed Wang Quan and whether they would come through the passage.
  • An old man emerged from a coffin in a vortex and asked who had connected the First and Second Layers of the Underworld.
  • A Dao Seal Cultivator told the old man that Wang Quan was in the Second Layer, and the old man closed his coffin and disappeared into the vortex.
  • The city’s residents speculated that the connection had drawn the old man because the Far West had few links between Underworld layers.

Ch. 606The Third-Layer World

Wang Quan’s connection between the Underworld layers caused Stone City’s energy to increase and the Second-Layer World’s safe zone to expand. Ruo Jinghong, Mei Niang, and the others entered the Third-Layer World and began fighting its revived evil beings.

  • The connection between the Underworld layers increased the Qi of Idiocy and Spirit Lacquer in Stone City, strengthening its inhabitants.
  • The Second-Layer World’s safe zone expanded, destroying evil beings and revealing treasures for Ruo Jinghong and the others to collect.
  • Ruo Jinghong concluded that Wang Quan had linked the Second Layer of the Underworld to the First Layer, and Mei Niang warned the group that they could not have survived there as he had.
  • Ruo Jinghong and Mei Niang led the cultivators into the Third-Layer World, where evil beings revived and charged at them.
  • The Dao Seal Cultivators attacked with the [All-Heavens Banner], Magic Treasure phantoms, and gourds that released streams of sunlight.

Ch. 607Ruo Jinghong and the Others' Bewilderment

Ruo Jinghong, Mei Niang, and the cultivators tried to establish a foothold in the Third Layer by combining sunlight, scripture, magic treasures, and artillery against its powerful Evil. They held the battle line for now but could not secure safe ground, and they wondered how Wang Quan would succeed where they had failed.

  • The cultivators gathered their stored sunlight into a little sun and strengthened it with the People-Crossing Scripture to repel the Evil.
  • Mei Niang summoned Multi-Barreled Artillery Evil, fought the native artillery, and used the All-Heavens Banner as the Third Layer's Evil pressed the battle line.
  • Mei Niang brought the Mortal World Cannon from the Second Layer, but its shells could not permanently destroy the tougher Third Layer Evil.
  • Ruo Jinghong and the others chose to hold out for ten days rather than retreat, despite lacking enough All-Heavens Banners to defeat the endless Evil.
  • As the cultivators struggled to keep their line from collapsing, Ruo Jinghong, Mei Niang, and the others wondered what methods Wang Quan would use to create a safe zone.

Ch. 608I Never Said You Were Afraid of Them

Wang Quan said goodbye to the ghost gods and received a box containing incense that could summon their aid. Daoist Black Smoke then rewarded him with scriptures and a fifth-tier [Inverted Wisdom], and invited him to help link the Second Layer of the Underworld in other Polar Lands.

  • The ghost-god girl gave Wang Quan incense that could summon the ghost gods to save him from a life-and-death crisis.
  • Daoist Black Smoke arrived after the ghost gods left, and Wang Quan challenged his boastful claims about being a mighty expert.
  • Daoist Black Smoke introduced himself as a representative of the [All-Under-Heaven Dao Court] and offered Wang Quan a volume of special Daoist Scriptures.
  • Daoist Black Smoke gave Wang Quan a fifth-tier [Inverted Wisdom] from the Drowning Dao Headquarters, which Wang Quan hoped would help him master the sixty-thousandth volume of Daoist Scriptures.
  • Daoist Black Smoke invited Wang Quan to help link the Second Layer of the Underworld in other Polar Lands, and Wang Quan pointed out that he had waited until the ghost gods left before descending.

Ch. 609My Lord, Let Me Be Your Mount

Wang Quan refused to help the [All-Under-Heaven Dao Court] connect to more regions of the Second Layer of the Underworld, then brought a disgraced stone bull ghost god and his followers to a new territory. There, the followers’ bloodlines evolved, and the stone bull offered to become Wang Quan’s mount.

  • Daoist Black Smoke accepted that Wang Quan would not try to connect to the Second Layer again and took back his visualization of the safe zone for the [All-Under-Heaven Dao Court] to study.
  • Wang Quan found a stone bull ghost god leaving in despair after his head had been destroyed by Wang Quan’s companions, and promised to take him somewhere unknown to other ghost gods.
  • The stone bull swallowed a hundred thousand ghosts and monsters, and Wang Quan brought them directly to the Second Layer, where he told the stone bull to guard and expand a Manor.
  • The ghosts and monsters’ bloodlines evolved as soon as they arrived, transforming them into stronger new breeds.
  • The stone bull accidentally knocked off his stone head, then declared that the territory was a treasure land and offered to serve as Wang Quan’s mount.

Ch. 610King of the New Era?

Wang Quan left the Stone Bull Ghost God to guard and expand the Manor while he watched Stone City and prepared to clear the sources of the anomalous weather. With the Era Cataclysm less than a thousand years away, Wang Quan refused to wait until the city was stronger, though the ghost god saw the coming era change as a chance to become its king.

  • Wang Quan reassured the Stone Bull Ghost God, left him in charge of the Manor, and departed as the ghosts and monsters began expanding it.
  • The Stone Bull Ghost God patrolled the surrounding land, drove off prying gazes, and discovered that his strength grew rapidly there.
  • Wang Quan observed Stone City's defenses and its people at work, then identified the guarded sources of anomalous weather as targets for expansion.
  • A ghost god warned Wang Quan that clearing the sources immediately could cause devastating casualties and urged him to wait eight hundred or a thousand years.
  • Wang Quan said he could not wait because the Era Cataclysm and Dynastic Cataclysm would arrive within that time, and the ghost god welcomed the change as a chance to become king of the new era.

Ch. 611Mei Niang's Fortuitous Creation-The Idiot Egg

Wang Quan discovered that linking the Second-Layer World had greatly expanded its safe zone, where Mei Niang’s [Idiot Egg] transformed evils by instilling Daoist Scriptures. He left wondering whether Mei Niang could refine her invention enough to help the world survive the approaching Era Cataclysm.

  • Wang Quan found that anomalies near Stone City were weakening and concluded that Stone City could eventually become a safe zone, though the approaching Era Cataclysm left little time.
  • Wang Quan visited the Second-Layer World and learned that linking it to other worlds had caused its safe zone to expand across dozens of buildings.
  • Wang Quan saw cultivators use scripture-bearing evils to lure other evils into the [Idiot Egg], which transformed them and spread Daoist Scriptures among them.
  • Wang Quan read the [Idiot Egg]’s inscription and discovered that Mei Niang had created it after a fortuitous encounter.
  • Wang Quan considered whether Mei Niang could perfect the [Idiot Egg] and use it to invert the evils’ perceptions before the Era Cataclysm.
  • The [Idiot Egg] broke, but the safe zone erased the escaping evil, and scripture-bearing evils repaired the chamber by feeding it another evil.

Ch. 612This wasn't normal

Wang Quan arrived in the Third-Layer World, where Dao Seal Cultivators could not establish a safe zone or overcome the evil creatures. After their attacks on the pavilion failed, Wang Quan used an unfamiliar technique to seize an elusive creature on its door.

  • Ruo Jinghong, Mei Niang, and the other cultivators struggled to fight off evil creatures and keep their little sun alight.
  • Wang Quan arrived, and the cultivators admitted they had failed to establish a safe zone or deal with the pavilion's defenses.
  • Wang Quan's [Self-Crossing Scripture] spear struck a shield wielded by the creature on the pavilion door, but failed to harm it.
  • Wang Quan learned that the door creature had deserted the army of the [Yin and Yang Bird-Head King] and could not be reached by the others' methods.
  • Wang Quan used [The Emperor Says Big Fish and Begonia Rise to Soaring Heavens] to pierce the door, grab the creature by the neck, and pull it out.

Ch. 613You Are No Longer Our Hero

Wang Quan brought the Fire Mulberry Tree into the Third-Layer World to overpower the Evils in the pavilion and punish Door Panel Evil. As his pain-enhanced fire whips tormented the Evil and spread agony through the pavilion, Door Panel Evil’s former supporters turned against him.

  • Wang Quan failed to pull Door Panel Evil from the door, so he bound him with a chain and returned to the Real World.
  • Wang Quan summoned the Monsters, then carried the Fire Mulberry Tree through the Second-Layer World and into the Third-Layer World, where its flames burned back the darkness and Evils.
  • Wang Quan gathered Ruo Jinghong and the others onto the tree and attacked the three-story pavilion while they fought its defenses.
  • Wang Quan whipped Door Panel Evil with branches empowered by the [Divine Mother of Pain], making the pain spread through the pavilion to every Evil.
  • The Evils turned on Door Panel Evil, demanded that he leave, and declared that he was no longer their hero.

Ch. 614Establish a safe zone in three to five months?

Wang Quan and the cultivators tried to subdue the Evil tower and establish a safe zone, using the Fire Mulberry Tree, chained Monsters, and the People-Crossing Scripture. As the tower and its remaining Evils resisted, Wang Quan left to find helpers, hoping to secure the area in three to five months instead of centuries.

  • Door Panel Evil was thrown out of the tower, and its occupants begged Wang Quan to stop whipping them.
  • Wang Quan used the Fire Mulberry Tree and leaf-cloaked Monsters to bind the tower and hold it in place.
  • Wang Quan and the cultivators chanted the People-Crossing Scripture while the Fire Mulberry Tree burned and lashed the Evil tower.
  • Many Evils fled the tower, weakening it, while those native to it stayed behind and vowed to endure.
  • Wang Quan rejected the estimate that securing the tower would take hundreds of years and went to find helpers for a three-to-five-month effort.

Ch. 615You Bring the Money, Name the Coordinates, and We Get to Work

Wang Quan promised to establish a safe zone in the Polar Lands within a few months, then traveled to White Land to hire help. Beitang Xue said his Green Fly Coins could pay for the work, but the coordinates were too dangerous for White Land’s cultivators to handle.

  • Wang Quan told Ruo Jinghong and the others he would establish a Polar Lands safe zone in three to five months using portable safe-zone buildings or the Great Sun.
  • Wang Quan left the Fire Mulberry Tree with Ruo Jinghong, whose group carved scriptures onto it and strengthened its flames and evil-warding power.
  • In White Land, [Ghost Emperor Heart] expanded the defenses and led ghosts and gods in fighting Evil as preparations for the Era Cataclysm continued.
  • Wang Quan arrived in White Land and gave Beitang Xue Green Fly Coins and coordinates for a safe zone.
  • Beitang Xue recognized that the coordinates were in the Polar Lands and returned the money, saying White Land’s cultivators could not establish a safe zone there.

Ch. 616The ambitions of Beitang Xue and the other Golden Cores

Wang Quan persuaded Beitang Xue and thousands of Dao Seal Golden Cores to help build a safe zone in the Third-Layer World, promising them access privileges to the All-Under-Heaven Dao Court. As they raced toward the beacon point, Mei Niang, Ruo Jinghong, and the others were living comfortably atop the Fire Mulberry Tree after its scriptures had improved their circumstances.

  • Wang Quan offered Beitang Xue money and explained that he wanted her help establishing a safe zone in the Third-Layer World corresponding to the Far Western Land.
  • Wang Quan told Beitang Xue that helping him could earn access privileges to the All-Under-Heaven Dao Court and let cultivators call down strikes from the Sky Patrol Magic Treasure.
  • Beitang Xue gathered over ten thousand Dao Seal Golden Cores, who agreed to help in hopes of gaining access privileges.
  • Wang Quan and the Golden Cores set off for the beacon point, traveling in streaks of escape light.
  • Mei Niang and the other cultivators enjoyed themselves atop the Fire Mulberry Tree, while Ruo Jinghong cultivated with her Dao partner Tongtong.
  • The cultivators’ lives had improved after someone engraved Daoist Scriptures and the People-Crossing Scripture onto the Fire Mulberry Tree.

Ch. 617So They Were Paupers Too

Wang Quan returned with Beitang Xue and other Golden Core cultivators, whose powerful magic treasures cleared a vast area of evil creatures as they prepared to establish a safe zone around the pavilion. Mei Niang and the others felt better after learning that the newcomers had gathered their treasures through long years of effort rather than powerful backing.

  • Ruo Jinghong and the other cultivators carved more than forty thousand scrolls of Daoist scriptures onto the Fire Mulberry Tree, greatly increasing its power against evil creatures.
  • Some cultivators tried for days to establish a safe zone on the ground and around the pavilion, then gave up and returned to feasting with Mei Niang.
  • Wang Quan arrived with Beitang Xue and other Golden Core cultivators, who praised the Fire Mulberry Tree and began carving more scriptures onto it.
  • Beitang Xue used her Blue Lotus to freeze evil creatures across a vast area, and the other Golden Core cultivators joined her in clearing space.
  • Wang Quan told the Golden Core cultivators to focus on making a safe area around the pavilion, and Beitang Xue discussed how to establish the safe zone with them.
  • Mei Niang asked Wang Quan about the newcomers' magic treasures, then relaxed when he said they had acquired them over many years.

Ch. 618Mobile Structures Formed an Interconnected Configuration

Wang Quan organized Beitang Xue and the others to weaken the three-story pavilion evil entity and contain it within a barrier of linked safe zones. The interconnected structures held firm against the entity’s attempts to corrupt them.

  • Beitang Xue and the Orthodox Mystic Sects cultivators learned that Ruo Jinghong’s group had crafted their own growth-type magic treasures since Foundation Establishment, and Wang Quan confirmed it.
  • Mei Niang flirted with Wang Quan, who bound and silenced her with branches from the Fire Mulberry Tree.
  • Wang Quan instructed the Golden Core cultivators to establish a thousand-li safe zone, plant evil objects to reduce evil power, bombard the pavilion, and surround it with their own safe zones.
  • Beitang Xue placed her stone-tower safe zone north of the pavilion, but darkness and evil attacks rapidly weakened it.
  • Thousands of safe zones overlapped into a glowing wall around the pavilion, resisting the evil entity as it struggled and tried to corrupt them.

Ch. 619Temporarily Linking Multiple Worlds

Wang Quan and the cultivators linked their safe zones to the Real World and other layers, strengthening them enough to resist the evil attic. The link remained incomplete, and a spirit monster’s strange journey through the cloud pillar left everyone bewildered.

  • Beitang Xue, Wang Quan, and the cultivators attacked the evil attic and recited the People-Crossing Scripture, while evil beings repeatedly wiped away Wang Quan’s Daoist Scriptures.
  • After several days of failing to clear the attic, Beitang Xue suggested taking it to the White Land Forbidden Zone, but Wang Quan rejected the idea.
  • Ruo Jinghong proposed linking the existing safe zones to other worlds, and Wang Quan used a tier-three Five-Colored Altar to connect to the Real World and several layers.
  • The cloud pillars strengthened the linked regions, and spirit monsters in the Real World evolved as their bloodlines were purified.
  • Wang Quan said the safe zones had gained some linking traits but were not recognized by the Third-Layer World, while an ox monster repeatedly shot along the cloud pillar and disappeared.

Ch. 620The Nature of Linking Worlds

Wang Quan discovered that the cloud pillar connected four worlds and let cultivators strengthen their powers by traveling through them. After promising to establish a safe zone in three to five months, he left while Beitang Xue followed him into Stone City to investigate.

  • Wang Quan pulled the ox spirit from the cloud pillar and learned it had passed through the Underworld and the Second-Layer World.
  • Wang Quan explained that the cloud pillar connected several worlds and exchanged their energies, strengthening the linked worlds.
  • Beitang Xue and other cultivators tested the cloud pillar and found that traveling through it tempered Dharma Power and strengthened their foundations.
  • Wang Quan abandoned his attempt to establish a safe zone immediately and told everyone he would have a way to do so in three to five months.
  • The cultivators stopped reciting the People-Crossing Scripture and turned to cultivating and enjoying themselves while Beitang Xue decided to investigate Wang Quan.
  • Beitang Xue traveled through the cloud pillar to Stone City, where her identity token delivered a message containing the city's rules and regulations.
