Dongfang Hui rolled her eyes extravagantly at him and said, "I thought you'd called me over for something nice. Turns out you just wanted me to do the hard labor!"
Xu Qingtong scratched the back of his head and said sheepishly, "Uh, well, I-I'll give you something in return!"
"Who wants anything in return? I'm happy to work for free! What's it to you?"
With that, Dongfang Hui walked around the room and looked it over, then asked, "Which kind of spiritual qi do you want to gather?"
"All five kinds."
Dongfang Hui gave Xu Qingtong a surprised look, but asked no further questions. She took out all sorts of strange tools and began measuring and calculating. Finally, she took out five small flags and began setting them up at five positions in the room she had calculated.
Xu Qingtong stood to one side, watching Dongfang Hui bustle about, now frowning, now smiling, like a little wife busy with household chores. His heart filled with warmth and sweetness, and he truly wished this scene could go on forever.
