"Bang!"

Lin Changqing rolled along the woodland path, his body finally spinning out of control until he tumbled off the trail and slid down the side, slamming into the ground like a tattered sack.

"Ugh... What the... hell!"

Shaking as he forced himself to his feet, Lin Changqing looked an absolute mess; his once-dapper hairstyle was now a complete bird's nest with several blades of grass stuck in it.

His clean, simple white casual short-sleeve shirt had turned into a dust-caked rag, and he was covered in multiple scrapes, searing pain radiating from his arms and shins as though they were broken.

"Have I been struck by divine retribution?"

Completely bewildered by this sudden, catastrophic misfortune, Lin Changqing asked himself with a hint of self-doubt before surveying his surroundings.

The area was overgrown with weeds, infested with mosquitoes, and filled with crookedly growing trees-clearly, this place had never been tended to by scenic-area staff.

After a moment of hesitation, Lin Changqing gritted his teeth, clutched his arm, and limped forward. He had no idea where he was, his phone was nowhere to be found, and with intense pain shooting through his hands and feet, climbing back up the slope he had just tumbled down was out of the question, leaving him no choice but to push ahead and see if there was a path.

After walking for about half an hour and passing through the woods, a crystal karst cave came into Lin Changqing's sight. Upon seeing the cavern, he froze, a persistent feeling telling him he had seen this exact cave somewhere before.

Deep within his heart, a voice seemed to echo at that very moment, constantly urging him inside as though something inside was vital to him.

Gritting his teeth, Lin Changqing walked into the cave. The moment he stepped inside, he felt a bone-chilling cold that felt entirely unnatural in the sweltering heat of mid-summer, making his hair stand on end.

Even so, Lin Changqing gritted his teeth, forced down his unease, and followed the voice in his heart as he pressed deeper into the cavern.

Finally, he reached the depths of the cavern, where an open space came into view. Inside was a small stone platform with a groove on top, as if something had once rested there, while in front of the platform sat a small pool, pitch-black and terrifyingly eerie to behold.

Seeing this, Lin Changqing hesitated.

Suddenly, the groove on the stone platform flashed with a blinding light that shot straight toward Lin Changqing and sank into his mind. A violent buzzing echoed instantly inside his head before he lost consciousness and his body tumbled into the dark pool.

When Lin Changqing regained consciousness, he found himself in a peculiar space. His physical body was gone, his soul wrapped in a layer of energy while another stream of energy within the space converged toward his soul, only to be scattered by the power residing deep within his own soul until, finally, his soul was enveloped by that very inner energy.

Suddenly, a sharp pain shot through his soul, and streams of information flooded into his mind.

He did not know how long passed before he finally finished sorting through the information within his soul.

"Supreme Yin True Explanation... Divine Water... reincarnated? Supreme Yin True Body? Me?"

Through the information in his soul, Lin Changqing discovered that he possessed the so-called Supreme Yin True Body, but because his previous world lacked energy, the Supreme Yin origin had remained hidden deep within his soul.

The energy inside that cave had awakened his Supreme Yin True Body, infused three kinds of mythological Divine Water along with the heritage of the Supreme Yin True Body into his soul, and then cast him into another world through reincarnation.

At that moment, he was inside a mother's womb, where the Supreme Yin origin in his soul was reshaping his innate Supreme Yin True Body from scratch, while Lin Changqing had already used the outside world to identify the other energy present in the womb.

This was the Dou Qi Continent, the very Dou Qi Continent he knew so well, and the place he resided in was the Soul Clan-yet those energies were none other than the innate bloodline power carried by the Soul Clan, though his own Supreme Yin origin had systematically purged them one by one.

"The Soul Clan, huh..."

After understanding his situation, Lin Changqing drifted into a deep sleep; he had experienced far too much in such a short span of time, and he was exhausted, mentally exhausted.
