"My husband, how could you treat me like this?" Izanami said coldly. "In that case, I will kill a thousand people in your lands every day!"
"My wife, if you do that, I will build fifteen hundred birthing rooms, and fifteen hundred people will be born every day!"
Shiranui Asuka chimed in from the side like a storyteller, providing narration:
"From then on, Izanami became the 'Great Deity of Yomi,' who presided over the underworld, while in Japan's mortal world, a thousand people died and fifteen hundred were born each day..."
Everyone ignored her. Izanagi lifted an enormous stone and blocked the cave entrance, leaving Izanami with no way out. He named it the "Thousand-Pulling Stone."
Only after all that was done did everyone finally breathe a sigh of relief.
"Asuka, that's the end, right?"
"Of course not." Shiranui Asuka gave Du Yu a mischievous look and chuckled. "The best part hasn't happened yet!"
"Oh?" Du Yu's interest was instantly piqued. "There's something even better?"
"Of course! Japan's three gods haven't been born yet!"
Only then did Du Yu suddenly remember something Shiranui Asuka had once told him: after Izanami died, Izanagi, a full-grown man, somehow still had three children.
But thinking about it carefully, did that really make any sense?
Shiranui Asuka walked over to Izanagi and asked, "Izanagi, you just entered a very filthy place, and you're dirty all over. Would you like to wash up?"
"Filthy? Was the place I just went really filthy?" Izanagi asked, puzzled.
"Yes, you went to the Land of Yomi, so you're very dirty."
Izanagi nodded slightly, and filth instantly piled up all over his body.
Du Yu took a closer look and nearly threw up. Izanagi's nose was stuffed with boogers, and both his eyes were plastered shut with eye gunk.
