"Drive to the police station?" The driver looked troubled at the suggestion. "It's rush hour right now. It'll take quite a while to get to the nearest police station!"
Several voices suddenly rose inside the bus. "Yes, go to the police station! We can't let the thief get away!"

Qu Xi was also at a loss. Though the girl wearing a mask sat right in front of her, she had no way to resolve this.
Just then, Qu Xi suddenly felt an itch on her arm, as though some furry little creature had crawled over.
She looked down and froze. A small, mouse-like animal stood on her thigh. Some of its paws had three long claws, and its eyes were large and round.
Qu Xi was about to say something when the mouse-like animal put a paw in front of its mouth, making a shushing gesture.
"Huh?"
Though she had no idea what was happening, the mouse seemed to understand people. Qu Xi had seen her share of extraordinary things, so naturally, this little creature wasn't enough to frighten her.
Seeing that Qu Xi remained silent, the mouse-like animal took a phone out from behind its back and handed it to her. It pointed at the phone, then at the masked woman sitting in front of her, before giving her a thumbs-up.
This bizarre series of gestures left Qu Xi utterly baffled.
"Do you mean... this phone is hers?" Qu Xi asked quietly.
The "mouse" nodded excitedly, then turned around, slipped into a gap between the seats, and vanished.
