A massive shock wave blasted Ox-Head and the monks apart, and White Impermanence stopped in his tracks as well.
"I dared to run, and you actually dared to chase me."
Xie Bi'an snorted coldly and looked back at the thick smoke in the distance and the enormous chain of explosions.
As he fled, he had kept releasing spiritual energy from his body, laying a "Landmine Formation" along his route. He had led the others around in circles precisely to lure the monks to this spot.
He knew this attack would not be enough to kill them, but it was still a perfect opening.
Ox-Head scrambled and tumbled over to White Impermanence. As the thick smoke gradually dispersed, the two monks came into view.
White Impermanence took one look and realized that the two monks were more badly wounded than he had expected.
Blood streamed all over their bodies. They seemed to have been completely unprepared for such a move.
"Huh?" White Impermanence froze. "You're not dying already, are you? If I'd known, I would've used a little more magic power."
The two glared viciously at White Impermanence. Then a cloud of black mist appeared and drifted over their bodies, and their wounds began to heal.
Xie Bi'an kept feeling that there was something strange about these "Ten Great Disciples," but he could not put his finger on exactly what it was.
"Third Brother, Fourth Brother, I can take one," White Impermanence told the two beside him. "You two take the other. Any problems?"
Ox-Head pondered this for quite a while before saying, "Seventh Brother, it ain't that I don't trust you. I just can't bear to let you do all that work alone. I'm your older brother, after all. I've gotta look after you, so I'll fight one with you!
