Du Yu frowned as well. They were surrounded by forested mountains now, with no idea where they were.
You Si was clearly intrigued and immediately headed toward the low growling.
Du Yu quickened his pace to catch up with her, but when he looked around, he saw nothing resembling a cave.
But where was that growling coming from?
You Si wandered for a while, then suddenly turned her head and spotted a wild wolf growling not far away.
"Are you trying to intimidate me?" You Si reached out and clenched her hand in midair. The wolf flew straight toward her, and she crushed its neck.
Holding the wolf, she still felt something was amiss. That faint growling seemed to linger nearby.
You Si moved with light, graceful steps, finally stopping before a rock face.
She examined the seamless rock face, pondered for a moment, then reached out to touch the stone.
Sure enough, powerful fluctuations of spiritual energy rippled across the entire rock face.
"An array?" You Si paused in surprise, then swept her hand forcefully. The entire Magic Array vanished, revealing a hidden cavern.
An indescribable stench immediately hit them in the face, making even someone as powerful as You Si frown.
Du Yu looked closely. The instant the cave entrance opened, two white shapes darted into a corner and hid, like wild beasts that lived inside.
And the sight within the cave was truly horrifying.
Two clean white skeletons lay on the ground, without a scrap of flesh or blood. Tooth marks covered the bones, as though something had gnawed on them.
Beside those two skeletons lay two enormous, broken eggshells.
The largest eggs Du Yu had ever seen were ostrich eggs, but these shells were twice as large, about the size of tires.
