Several more days passed before Du Yu finally returned to the Time Cave.
He looked full of energy, as though he had accomplished something extraordinary.
The Terminator sat in silence inside the cave, his head lowered.
"Oh?" Du Yu said with a smile. "A living person finally comes to visit you, and you're not happy?"
Only upon hearing Du Yu's voice did the Terminator slowly raise his head. "Come here. I have something to ask you."
"Ask me?" Du Yu raised his eyebrows and walked over.
"Closer," the Terminator said.
"Oh?" Du Yu slowly leaned closer, a trace of mockery appearing on his face.
When the distance between them was barely three fists, the Terminator abruptly tore through his own flesh, raised his head, and sank his teeth viciously into Du Yu's throat.
With a muffled rip, the Terminator bit a large chunk of flesh from Du Yu's throat, sending blood gushing out.
"Tell me... why bother?" Du Yu looked at the Terminator with a smile as the wound on his neck rapidly healed.
"Kill me... set me on fire..." The Terminator spat Du Yu's flesh onto the ground and said despairingly, "I don't want to work for a madman anymore..."
"You keep calling me mad, but what exactly makes me mad?" Du Yu shook his head helplessly. "You still don't believe I'm saving you?"
"It isn't me you're saving. It's the Supreme Pivots..." The Terminator slowly lowered his head. "You killed their first incarnations, then made me fabricate their lives... Is this what requires two 'Times' to accomplish? You need someone to stay here and control the Time Cave while you ruthlessly slaughter them in reality...
