Ouyang softly hummed a nursery rhyme, a song he often sang to lull the younger boys and girls at the orphanage to sleep.
"How lovely!" Standing in the darkness, Ouyang gazed at the lights of countless homes in the distance, feeling utterly at ease. There was just a trace of regret; only Ouyang himself knew what he regretted.
Silently watching the distant city, Ouyang took a deep breath, then suddenly broke into a broad smile. The old Ouyang, always grinning and joking, was back!
Ouyang suddenly vanished from where he stood. When he appeared again, he was on the top floor of the city's tallest skyscraper.
The howling wind made Ouyang narrow his eyes slightly. His lips moved as he softly commanded, "Wind, Stop!"
The fierce gale instantly fell still. Ouyang looked up at the stars overhead, a hint of a smile appearing on his face as he said, "Still watching? Why not come down?"
He raised a hand and gently grasped at the air. Suddenly, a delicate, jade-white hand appeared in his grasp.
A startled Mu Yunhai abruptly appeared in midair, her hand held gently in Ouyang's.
What happened? I was clearly up in the sky. How did Ouyang pull me here in an instant? Mu Yunhai was astonished. This was a dream she had created for Ouyang, yet despite his low cultivation, he had pulled her into it in an instant.
This dream was now entirely under Ouyang's control!
Yet Mu Yunhai did not panic at all.
For some reason, the smiling Ouyang gave her a sense of security.
Holding Mu Yunhai's hand, Ouyang gently set the fragile porcelain doll before him down on the ground and said with a smile, "Didn't my old man say there was somewhere fun here? I think I know where he meant!"
