After sleeping for who knew how long, Little Fox suddenly jolted awake, drool trailing from her mouth. She sat up in a daze and stared blankly at the boundless expanse of pure white before her.

She clutched her Suona tightly in her hands, and endless fear suddenly rose in her heart.

Only then did she realize she was still in the so-called trial.

Mom had said that as long as she passed this trial, she would gain power that rivaled her senior brothers'!

But power that rivaled my senior brothers'?

What use is that?

Isn't having my senior brothers enough?

Why do I have to work so hard to find this power?!

Hu Tutu hung her head. Remembering the dream she had just had, she stroked the Waist Token hanging around her neck and murmured aggrievedly, "Eldest Senior Brother, why haven't you come to take me home yet? If you don't come soon, Tutu will hate you!"

Suddenly, something struck the top of Little Fox's head as she sat there grieving to herself.

Little Fox looked up in surprise and glanced around, then spotted a paintbrush that had landed not far away.

"Who was that?! How can you be so inconsiderate?! Can't you see there's a fox sitting here?!" Still upset, Hu Tutu looked up at the pure white sky and shouted indignantly.

Her little belly even wobbled with anger.

But Little Fox's question received no answer. There was only an empty, silent expanse of pristine white, so white that Hu Tutu felt an inexplicable surge of fear.

She promptly lowered her head, not daring to look up again.

After a while, Hu Tutu cautiously looked toward the paintbrush that had suddenly appeared. Like a child sneaking snacks, she took only a hurried peek before quickly lowering her head again.
