Fang Ling left Cold Mountain Temple, joined the Zhao Family, and gathered power while becoming the Heavenly Net Church’s leader and curing Bai Ying. The arc ended with Fang Ling battling the awakened Jin Buhan in the Lost Ancient Mine after taking his spear.

• The five masters raised Fang Ling at Cold Mountain Temple, where the Devil Ancestor’s Heart fused with his body, and later taught him their arts before he left the mountain.
• Fang Ling entered Willow City, joined the Zhao Family, killed Qian Ling and the Qin Family, and began pursuing the truth about his destroyed family.
• Fang Ling subdued the Netherworld Beast, found the Heavenly Net Divine Art, and was recognized as leader of the Heavenly Net Church.
• Fang Ling cured Bai Ying by removing a Seven-Colored Heavenly Butterfly, then killed Tian Quanzi and Zi Sheng after Tian Quanzi threatened him over the Bodhi Fruit.

• Jin Buhan awoke from a long sleep and attacked Fang Ling, who wounded him with Dragon-Slaying and seized and refined his Mysterious Gold Heaven-Piercing Spear before Jin Buhan escaped.

Fang Ling destroyed the Six Harmonies Sect, fought powerful enemies, and endured a Death-Seeking Curse while seeking a way to survive. He then returned to the Heavenly Net Church, rescued its elites, and led them to power through the Blood Demon Ancestor’s demon crystals.

• Fang Ling killed Wu'er Tu, accepted Shangguan Haiyue’s Mysterious Wind Token, and strengthened his body with Bodhi Vajra Pills.
• Fang Ling rescued the Heavenly Net Church at the Flying Eagle Gate, slaughtered the Six Harmonies Sect’s army, and killed the Fairy of the Li River in Windstone Gorge.
• Fang Ling challenged Emperor Shao, then led eight hundred elites toward the Blood Marsh and massacred cultivators in Boundless City.
• Fang Ling killed Witch Daoist, but the Death-Seeking Curse he placed on Fang Ling drove him back toward Cold Mountain Temple as Abbess Purple Bamboo pursued him.
• Fang Ling killed the Blood Demon Ancestor and his wife, then returned to Cold Mountain Temple, where the White-Browed Old Monk suppressed the curse temporarily.
• Fang Ling learned new arts, restored Heavenly Net Annihilation, and resolved to strengthen the Heavenly Net Church.
• Fang Ling rescued Mister Mo and the eight hundred elites in the Heaven-Equal Cave Abode, where they found the Blood Demon Ancestor’s treasures and refined demon crystals.
• Fang Ling advanced to the middle heavenly authority realm, while the elites gained great strength and swore loyalty to him.
