Cui Hao glanced at Fourth Senior Sister's expression and nodded knowingly. It was probably some rotten business.
He pressed, "Senior Sister, is this what's been troubling you lately?"
Lin Luoyu shook her head slightly. "I wouldn't call it troubling. I just haven't decided on a suitable way to resolve it."
"This doesn't even count as troubling? Then how bad would something have to be to trouble you?" Cui Hao chuckled, then waved the letter in his hand.
"If you haven't got any ideas, why not hear mine?"
Hearing that, Lin Luoyu instinctively felt that Cui Hao's method would be somewhat unreliable, and very likely rather absurd.
But on second thought, how much more absurd could this get? Surely there was no room left for absurdity?
Still, Lin Luoyu chose to warn Cui Hao first:
"I'll hear you out, but you'd better have used your brain to come up with it."
"Since you've already set foot on the immortal path, why keep looking ahead and behind?" Cui Hao summoned a ball of fire into his hand and burned the envelope to nothing.
Lin Luoyu stared in shock at the letter as it turned to drifting ash.
Cui Hao wore an unruffled smile. "Since going back would cause problems, just don't go back. Master calls this sensible risk avoidance. Just pretend you never saw this letter, and that settles it."
Lin Luoyu immediately laughed in exasperation. He called that an idea? If she could pretend she hadn't seen it, what would she have to worry about?
Covering his ears while stealing a bell might work for Cui Hao, but it wouldn't work for Lin Luoyu.
What existed existed; what had happened had happened. Many things in life simply couldn't be avoided.
Burning it didn't mean she could pretend nothing had happened, either.
