As Winter Melon fretted, Watermelon's faint snores drifted over from beside her.
Unable to hold back, Winter Melon picked up a small stone beside her and hurled it at Watermelon's head.

Another crisp sound that marked a fine melon.
"Can I just call you big sister? Can't we talk things out? Do you have to communicate with me like this?"
Watermelon gently rubbed the spot that had just been hit and looked helplessly at Winter Melon.
"They might have been held up by something. Besides, even if they ran off, there's nothing wrong with us going our separate ways."
Winter Melon picked up another small stone, her tone calm.
"That's true, but can't I throw stones at you to take my mind off things?"
At that, the half-watermelon sprawled out, looking as though he had nothing left to live for. "Then do as you please."
Winter Melon did not indulge him. She first threw the stone in her hand at Watermelon, then picked up another. But before she could throw it, she stopped and looked outside.
"I, Cui Hao, have come charging back!"
Cui Hao walked over with a rather lively spring in his step, but Lin Luoyu behind him did not look nearly as happy.
Winter Melon did not answer. She stared straight at the pair, probing them with her divine sense as discreetly as possible.
