The Heavenly Derivation Sect.
A long wind swept down, and the tea in the cup was warm.
"Winter again, isn't it?"
Chu Xingchen reached out and gently caught a falling snowflake, asking softly.
Li Yingling fiddled with a Spirit Fruit. Hearing this, she teased:
"Master, it doesn't snow in summer."
Chu Xingchen looked down at the little snowflake that had already melted into water in his hand and promptly replied:
"Just as the pills Master refines wouldn't appear in that padded-jacket mouth of yours for no reason, right?"
Hearing this, Li Yingling promptly reached over to hook her arm around Xie Lingyu beside her, sounding aggrieved:
"Master's Wife, look at Master! Who feeds their disciples pills like that?"
Xie Lingyu smiled and said mildly:
"Your master is teasing you."
Li Yingling nodded with a smile, but shot her master a provocative look-she had someone backing her up. He could forget about threatening her with pills again!
Chu Xingchen rather helplessly picked up his teacup and took a sip.
This eldest disciple still had the gall to call herself his little padded jacket. At this rate, she would soon fail to qualify as even a broken sock.
"Lady Qinghe is here~"
Qinghe's voice carried over from far outside the courtyard. Everyone looked over, but it took a while before they saw her jog inside.
Her face brimming with smiles, Qinghe was so familiar with them that she hurried over without even saying hello, reached for a Spirit Fruit on the table, and took a bite first.
Eating the Spirit Fruit, she spoke somewhat indistinctly:
"You really do have it good, eating whatever you want all day long."
Chu Xingchen raised his brows and smiled:
"I'm a patient. I need nourishing food, so of course I can't just eat whatever I want."
