When Eros opened his eyes again, he looked at the familiar Gray Mist Space before him with a sense of helplessness. How had he ended up here again?
Bored out of his mind, he lay on the ground. Then a tentacle with an eyeball perched on its tip stared him in the face.
The sudden sight made Eros's breath catch. He nearly passed out from the shock.
It took him a long while to recover. Looking at the tentacle before him, he said, rather speechlessly:
"Why am I dreaming about you again, you creepy thing?"
The tentacle tilted its eyeball, conveying a sense of confusion. Eros ignored it, simply rolling over to continue lying there.
The next month went much the same way. Whenever he fell asleep at night, he would dream of being in the Gray Mist Space.
Then that twisted tentacle with an eyeball on its tip would appear beside him.
He had been uncomfortable with it for the first few days, but eventually he got used to it. He also knew that something was definitely wrong here.
He had considered telling Estelle and the others, but every time the thought arose, a faint sense of dread stirred in his heart.
It felt as though telling them would lead to something he did not want to see happen, though he had no idea why he felt that way.
Still, he chose to trust that inexplicable instinct. Nothing had happened so far, after all, had it?
Then, one night after he fell asleep, he found himself in the same familiar Gray Mist Space, lying on the ground in the same familiar position.
Just as he thought the equally familiar tentacle was about to appear-
A Black-Haired Girl materialized beside him. Eros froze. Had the dream changed?
"What's with that look?" The Black-Haired Girl frowned.
Eros glanced up and said in surprise, "Oh, you're wearing some this time. Though, judging by your outfit, I thought they'd be black. I didn't expect white."
The Black-Haired Girl's face suddenly flushed crimson. She was about to kick him flying, but stopped as though something had occurred to her, secretly grinding her teeth.
Of course. How could this perverted junior possibly be Master?
Eros was a little surprised that he had not been beaten up. Not that he had any masochistic tendencies.
It was just far too boring staying here, so he had been looking for something to do.
He reached out to feel the hem of the Black-Haired Girl's skirt, then squeezed her smooth, delicate calf, clicking his tongue.
"Even the sense of touch in this dream is this realistic?"
The Black-Haired Girl clenched her teeth and forced out a sentence through them. "You damned junior, don't push your luck."
Just then, Eros spotted the tentacle appearing behind the Black-Haired Girl. Well, he had thought tonight's dream had changed, but apparently they had both come together.
He waved at the tentacle. "You're here too?"
The Black-Haired Girl paused. Was there something here besides her?
She immediately turned to look. One glance was enough to make her cry out:
"Damn it! How did you get mixed up with this thing? Damn it, damn it!"
Before she had even finished speaking, she had already grabbed Eros and carried him a considerable distance away. Eros froze, beginning to catch on.
"This isn't a dream?"
The Black-Haired Girl rolled her eyes. "What do you think?"
Holy shit, this isn't a dream? Then all that touching I just did...
Remembering that delicate feel, his heart suddenly began to race. He was also a little incredulous that she had not hit him.
And if this was not a dream, did that mean he had spent every night of the past month with that tentacle?
Still, there did not seem to be much to fear. It had not attacked him, after all.
He spoke up at once. "Put me down. It's fine. If it wanted to attack, it would've done so ages ago. Right now, it just seems curious about me."
The Black-Haired Girl gave Eros, whom she was carrying, a dubious look and slowly came to a stop. Still, she kept a wary eye on the tentacle following behind them.
After a long while, when the tentacle really did seem to make no further move, the Black-Haired Girl finally let out a sigh of relief. Yet disbelief still lingered on her face.
"How did you get mixed up with it?"
Eros explained helplessly, "It was during the Bloodline Baptism. I saw the Elf Race's deity facing off against it."
"I have no idea how I got mixed up with it. Anyway, it's been appearing here ever since the baptism."
"All I can tell is that it seems very curious about me. Is there something strange about me? I don't understand."
