It was an exquisitely detailed floor plan. Every passage and guard post had been marked with a different symbol, and dense annotations filled the edges of the sheet.
This was a defensive layout of a family compound, roughly a tenth the size of Nightwind Fortress.
Even on the surface, the building plans for any castle were closely guarded secrets. Some cruel, old-fashioned nobles would even help the architects "lose their memories" to prevent the designs from leaking.
