The salty sea breeze brushed his cheeks with damp air, while faintly warm sunlight filtered through the clouds, leaving a long-missed warmth on his skin.
Renato's lungs greedily drew in their first breath of surface air. The warm breeze, carrying salt, sand, and the scent of plants, was utterly unlike the stale, damp, musty air of the Underdark. He almost wanted to stop right there, close his eyes, and savor the peace of that moment.

Looking back, Klauthsura had made many other preparations for the swordsman's long-distance teleportation across an unknown expanse.
For example, he had drunk a Water Breathing potion beforehand in case he landed in water; Feather Fall magic enveloped his body to prevent a dangerous fall; there were also the usual Greater Healing Potions, Oil of Speed, and so on...
Every potion and scroll had been carefully calculated and selected to ensure that the swordsman could face any unexpected situation in peak condition upon arriving at an unknown destination.
Oh, right. There had even been anti-vertigo medicine specially prepared by Klauthsura, to prevent the extreme-distance teleportation from disrupting Renato's senses and causing nausea or vomiting.
Fortunately, the Hellforged Multiverse Wanderer's teleportation function worked on an entirely different principle from Psionics Teleportation. Despite the immense distance, there had been no intermediate process at all. To the swordsman's senses, he had merely activated the polyhedron in his hand, the image in his mind had changed for an instant, and then he was beside this sunlit island. There had been no discomfort whatsoever.
However, when he landed heavily on a deck, Renato noticed that Feather Fall had not taken effect, even though
