When she heard about the dinner gathering that evening, the usually gluttonous Sea Elf had no desire to attend this time.

Renato told her about the gathering aboard the Hispaniola, but Selina sat up on the sofa and, in a rare gesture, shook her head, declining the invitation.

According to the Sea Elf, she disliked the rocking deck and did not want to return to the ship.

From her brief explanation, the swordsman could tell that the reason was nowhere near that simple.

Still, judging by her behavior over the past two days, leaving the Sea Elf alone at the inn might actually reduce the chances of something going wrong.

Besides, he had yet to collect those 2,500 experience points, and Selina posed no threat to him in the [Quest]. Renato therefore could not be bothered to investigate. The cargo workers had mostly finished their day's labor. They brought out little stools and sat on the piers, loudly exchanging vulgar banter that made the entire harbor feel more alive.

Occasionally, a seagull or two landed on a pier to peck at dead fish caught between the planks, then fluttered up to the rooftops when someone approached.

Renato walked along the street, toying with the Bone Sword he had seized from Ferreira's waist that morning.

The Bone Sword was about as long as an ordinary rapier.
