Looking back, I could hardly believe I'd already written seventy chapters without even realizing it----
Extra thoughtful, waiting for you to read.
I've forgotten how I even came up with the idea of writing this book. It felt like a sudden whim at the time: why not write a fanfic?
Then an editor took a liking to it, and I started writing, signed a contract, kept writing, and made it this far.
At the beginning, I genuinely had no writing experience at all. I relied on sheer enthusiasm and wrote whatever came to mind. Sometimes, a chapter of two or three thousand Chinese characters took ages to figure out. I stumbled along, revising again and again, worried I might write something wrong.
After all, when I was writing alone back then, I had no feedback whatsoever.
Later, more readers began picking up the book, and some really lovely readers offered me encouragement. Honestly, every encouraging comment I saw back then made me so happy.
It could keep me smiling for quite a while.
Of course, criticism came hard on its heels, too. Reading it made me sad and left me feeling rather defeated.
But whenever I wanted to give up, readers would immediately cast recommendation votes and monthly votes for me (thank you, everyone)----
Then I thought, I said I'd see this through from beginning to end. I can't go back on my word, can I? After all, a person should at least have some basic integrity.
And there were still readers waiting to read my book.
So I would also try to approach that criticism with the right mindset and gradually correct my mistakes.
It's my first time writing a book, after all. I'll make it to the end, even if I have to do it lying down...
Really,
