Two groups stood facing off on the road.
On one side were followers of the Night Church in black holy robes, and on the other were followers of the Church of Light in white holy robes.
Both sides seemed rather agitated, and quite a few civilians had gathered around to watch.

"On the night chaos broke out in the Imperial Capital, our Saintess Veronica stepped forward and led the Church's clergy in protecting countless civilians. Surely everyone here witnessed that for themselves."
She glanced at the Night Church followers opposite her, a hint of disdain in her tone:

When she heard those slanderous words about her Church, she stepped forward and retorted without backing down:
"If our Bishop hadn't forced the culprit behind this incident into the open that night, the entire Imperial Capital might have faced an even greater disaster! Your Saintess did save plenty of people, but our Bishop saved the whole Imperial Capital! What right do you have to belittle us?"
To Talaya, the Night Church had redeemed her life, so its founder naturally deserved her reverence as well.
Besides, that night she had personally witnessed the Bishop's imposing figure floating before the Black Sun. That power, that presence, had filled her with awe
