But soon, another question surfaced in Yaxes's mind.
Since the civilization was on that planet, why had the Jumping Beast opened the wormhole here?
Weren't the coordinates aimed at that blue planet?
How had they ended up off course on this dead planet?
His brow furrowed as he sank into thought.
The Jumping Beast certainly hadn't lied. The coordinates were correct, and the wormhole had opened normally.
Then the problem could only lie in one thing-
Location!
When the Jumping Beast opened a wormhole, it used Spatial Coordinates Positioning to locate the planet.
But planets weren't stationary.
Every planet revolved around a star, moving at all times!
The coordinates the Jumping Beast had originally recorded corresponded to that blue planet's location at a particular moment.
Now, that blue planet had moved along its orbit.
Occupying its former position was the scorching dead planet beneath his feet.
When the Jumping Beast opened the wormhole, it detected a planet at the coordinates with roughly the same size and mass, assumed there was no problem, and opened the passage directly.
If there had been nothing at this location but empty space, the Jumping Beast would instead have recalibrated.
But there happened to be a planet here.
And that planet happened to have moved to those exact coordinates.
So-
All of this was a coincidence.
A coincidence on an astronomical scale!
It had brought a million-strong Demon Clan Army, along with a peak Eighth Order Demon God, sweeping down onto the wrong planet.
Without this coincidence, the wormhole's exit would now have opened directly on the surface of that blue planet.
Cho'Gath would have descended from the sky with his army, and that Technological Civilization wouldn't even have had time to react.
But as it happened...
"Yaxes."
Cho'Gath's voice came from behind him, low
