Everyone froze.
Sheng An straightened, her gaze sharpening.
Qi Lingwu stared intently at the plant in Jiang Yu's hand.
Perhaps going into the space had replenished its nutrients from the soil. It looked revitalized now, even its leaves lush green and brimming with life.
Jiang Yu was still a little dazed. "It suddenly burrowed into the space and rooted itself there. I brought it out, and it went right back in on its own. Seriously, I couldn't stop it at all!"
She held the Fish Mint aloft, and its feet kicked wildly, apparently in protest.
Sheng An asked, "How did you get in?"
The Fish Mint struggled.
Wu Buyu leaned closer but heard no answer.
Sheng An said, "Hmm?" Her gaze grew increasingly dangerous.
The Fish Mint: "..."
It dared not struggle anymore and answered obediently.
Wu Buyu translated, "It said it wanted to get in so badly that it managed to burrow right in."
Everyone present frowned at once.
"What does that mean?" The Base Chief looked somewhat bewildered.
Sheng An pressed her lips together and explained, "It can't tell us exactly how it entered. It simply wanted to get in, so it succeeded."
The cold wave was different from the acid rain.
During the acid rain, at least the soil indoors had allowed it to take root. But when the cold wave arrived, everything froze. It had struck so suddenly that even the soil inside the base had frozen solid.
The Fish Mint had nowhere to take root. Seeing Jiang Yu enter the space, it had gone in on its own.
As for how that worked?
-they couldn't expect a plant that had never even attended elementary school to explain it to them.
Qi Lingwu looked at Sheng An. "Is it related to its superpower?"
They couldn't define
