The Cafeteria.
The Special Affairs Office's Cafeteria was busiest in the morning. Missions might keep people out at lunch and dinner, but both Group A and Group B always arrived on time for breakfast.
Sleeping in?
With Group A and Group B locked in a competition to outwork each other, that simply wasn't an option.
After Group A's meeting yesterday, every member who appeared in the Cafeteria that morning looked utterly wilted. Group B's "ghostlike" look seemed to be spreading to Group A...
Both groups focused on their food, making for a rare moment of quiet.
Hao Jingye sighed. "Sure enough, having nothing to do is the root of all trouble."
Keep people too busy for any downtime, and they wouldn't have the energy to cause trouble.
-Group Leader Qiu was gradually getting the hang of it.
When Sheng An entered with Qi Lingwu, who was carrying Wu Buyu, they instantly drew everyone's attention.
Group B: Oh, our birdman teammate is here.
Group A: So this is Group B's mind-reading flying mutant?
The more attention Wu Buyu received, the stiffer he became.
He simply closed his eyes, lowered his head, and played dead.
Qi Lingwu had no intention of playing along. He dumped him into his seat, then turned and sat beside Sheng An.
Every newcomer received special treatment-
During meals, he would sit opposite Sheng An, with people on either side, right at the center of the table.
In the past, everyone wanted to sit closer so they could hear the latest news firsthand.
But today was different.
The instant Wu Buyu was dropped into his seat, Song Linwei and Hao Jingye swiftly shifted away on either side, both keeping a two-meter distance.
A closer look revealed that they had even marked the two-meter distances on the table beforehand.
