The Sea Turtle King's friend, the Giant Clam, finished advancing. A woman with bright eyes, pearly teeth, and snow-white skin stepped out of the Giant Clam.
A dazzling pearl rested atop her head, and the seawater around her was magically pushed aside.
The Sea Turtle King was utterly stunned. "You..."
He could hardly believe his eyes.
The woman chuckled. "It's just an illusion. I can't change my form yet."
"I gave myself a name: Sea Ji. I'm a daughter of the sea."
"Let's go. I don't know why, but I crave slaughter."
In truth, Sea Ji's actual body was still a mass of clam flesh. She had yet to take human form.
After recovering from his shock, the Sea Turtle King said, "I can't wait any longer. Let's go."
Sea Ji nodded, returned to her shell, and swam toward the beach with the Sea Turtle King.
Sea Ji frowned. "My shell can't go ashore, and my strength will drop considerably on land. We'll have to make this quick."
Sea Ji looked at her shell with some concern. What would happen to it while she was gone?
Sea turtles could live both on land and in the sea, but she couldn't. Away from the ocean, her strength would diminish, and her ability reserves wouldn't recover.
Ocean Creatures mutated rapidly and developed a craving for slaughter. Without this restriction, the survivors would have been finished.
The Sea Turtle King said, "I'll have my kin guard it for you. Unless they're all killed, nothing will happen to it."
Sea Ji sighed. "I'm only doing this because you're an old friend. Otherwise, I wouldn't take such a huge risk."
If her shell was destroyed, Sea Ji would be like a homeless child or a fish out of water. She wouldn't live long.
