Most importantly, Ocean Creatures' meat was barely edible.
They even ate rat meat, so why couldn't they eat these?
Though hard to stomach and foul-tasting, it was still better than filthy rats, right?
Low-tier Ocean Creatures were generally weak, with strength around level four, or even as low as level three.
Their advantage was their sheer numbers.
Occasionally, a stronger specimen would reach level five or six.
But hunting zombies could mean encountering mutants too. Staying alive always required taking risks.
A whale stranded on the shore caught the survivors' attention.
It had died for some unknown reason.
Mo Ziyou, the leader of one survivor team, lit up. Could there be a crystal inside this whale?
It might even be an Advanced Crystal.
But another group of survivors had spotted it too. Their leader was Ji Yuan, who had teamed up with Mo Ziyou for this hunting trip.
The two small bases had come to the coast together.
They had meant to help each other, but now they were competitors.
Mo Ziyou and Ji Yuan exchanged looks, neither willing to yield.
The two bases reached a stalemate, and neither rushed to act.
Who would get it?
After some thought, Mo Ziyou said, "We'll split it evenly. If there really is a crystal, I'll absorb half first, then give you the rest."
Ji Yuan scoffed. "If you get it first, it'll be a miracle if I ever see the remaining half."
Mo Ziyou said, "If I don't give it to you, report me to Dawn City. Tell them I have an Advanced Crystal. I definitely couldn't stand up to them."
