Over the phone, the unfamiliar young man sneered. "Who I am doesn't matter. What matters is, do you want news of this phone's original owner?"
Ren Ye frowned without answering.
"Judging by how you talk, you're a Player too, right?" The young man paused. "Heh, then would you be willing to spend some Star Source to buy information?"
"How would that work?" Ren Ye asked.
"Where are you?"
"I'm in the Capital." Ren Ye didn't hide it, nor did he need to.
The young man on the other end seemed to think for a long time before replying quietly, "That's not too far, then. If you want news of this phone's original owner, come to Tianjin."
Ren Ye felt as though everything the young man said was a spur-of-the-moment decision. But he had no idea who the other party was, so naturally, he wasn't about to travel to another city. "We don't even know each other. Who knows what you do? Do you really think I'd go to Tianjin to meet you?"
"Do you know the Tree Rings Teahouse in the Capital? It's right beside the Tree-Ring Bar," the other party suddenly asked.
Hearing this, Ren Ye involuntarily surveyed his surroundings, his expression turning peculiar. "I've heard of it. Why?"
"Book a room at the Tree Rings Teahouse for six tonight, then tell me the room number. We'll talk in person." The other party laid out his terms.
"Who exactly are you, brother? Can't we just talk over the phone?!" Ren Ye immediately adopted a weak stance, answering with feigned hesitation.
Hearing this made the other party feel all the more certain that Ren Ye was timid. "If you don't come, you'll never get through to this number again after six."
"All... all right." Ren Ye stammered out his response.
