This Yin Soul also seemed to have suffered some sort of Soul Shatter Secret Method. Its Three Souls and Seven Spirits were incomplete, leaving it deranged, its memories in chaos...
Using a Daoist soul-questioning method, Daoist Chu had bluffed and threatened it, but ultimately obtained only the sentence the Yin Soul kept repeating: "Killing each other, killing each other... everyone was killing each other... Liu Wei of the Mess Hall Army ran away. Only he ran away...!"
Although that was all they had gotten, it contained quite a lot of information. On their way back, Ren Ye had essentially deduced that people from more than a dozen offices had joined forces to surround the Ministry of Revenue's Treasury that day. Then something unknown had happened, causing those groups to fight inside the Treasury and start slaughtering one another. Many had died in the end; perhaps there had barely been any survivors at all...
