It was still that remote village in GZ, with a vast mountain range stretching behind it...
By then, Guo Feng and the Reconnaissance Squad had spent four days searching Back Mountain. They had killed another three rabbits, all identical to the earlier ones, but had still failed to find out where they were coming from.
Back Mountain was simply too vast. Their superiors had sent at least ten squads like theirs to search, and the others had encountered the same rabbits. Aside from those rabbits, however, none had made any progress. The creatures seemed to have appeared out of thin air.
Just then, the sky suddenly darkened without any warning, but light soon returned. Though they found it strange, they did not give it much thought.
Just as they were preparing to venture deeper, a heavy panting suddenly reached their ears. They turned toward the sound,
and saw an enormous wild boar getting up from the ground. Its body was covered in wounds, and its eyes looked around in confusion.
"C-Captain, that thing is a level-six wild boar. It's much stronger than the rabbits," Da Shan said nervously.
"Da Shan, you're way too Poisoning..." another squad member said with a laugh.
Just then, the wild boar suddenly looked at them, a vicious gleam flashing in its eyes.
Without warning, it scraped the ground twice with its front hoof, then charged straight at the man who had just spoken...
"Brutal Charge...! Get out of the way!!" Da Shan shouted.
But it was already too late. The boar was far too fast. Before the squad member could react, it rammed him and sent him flying several meters. He only stopped when he slammed into a large tree.
The sight terrified everyone...
