Cheng Cheng held a foxtail grass stem between his lips. The Mental Value of 80 above his head was particularly eye-catching.
"Hmm... if your Companion Stone House can't keep the neighbors out, why not move somewhere else?"
Kang Caijun froze. "What kind of solution is that? All the stone houses here belong either to players or to the 'neighbors.' Am I supposed to dig a hole to spend the night in?"
"That's an option too."
Cheng Cheng smiled gently, but anger rose on Kang Caijun's face:
"At a time like this, can you stop acting like a spectator and laughing everything off?"
After giving it serious thought, Cheng Cheng answered:
"For now, I really can stay out of it. My Companion Stone House has a higher Mental Value than any of yours. Even if they're going to kill someone tonight, it won't be my turn yet."
Kang Caijun said, "You!"
His companion Ran Xing held him back. "Watch your attitude. I know you're anxious, but the most important thing right now is to stay calm!"
"I'd suggest calming down too." Cheng Cheng raised his chin. "Your Mental Value has dropped to thirty-five."
At those words, Kang Caijun's eyes widened, and the Mental Value above his head dropped even faster.
Ran Xing gave Cheng Cheng a look that said, Please stop talking.
Only then did Cheng Cheng leisurely point toward the East:
"There's a house ready and waiting over there. I checked last night. The neighbors won't go there."
