The Divine Being was dead.
All the believers sank into immense grief and panic, staring blankly at the man ahead, their minds empty.
"Damn you! You killed our God!" The goat-headed demon roared furiously, blood-red flames igniting all over its body.
"Summon the divine servant!"
Before the words had faded, a deafening bang rang out. The marble wall at the back of the banquet hall shattered, and a vicious green lizard head thrust through. Its terrifying aura marked it as having just entered the ninth step, and its scarlet eyes radiated savage killing intent.
Its head alone was the size of a truck, exuding an overwhelming sense of pressure.
Hope replaced the despair in every Evil Believer's eyes. They had witnessed the divine servant's power before. It was certainly no weaker than the young man before them.
Yet the next moment, the expressionless man beside the young man, who looked very much like him, calmly raised one hand and closed it around empty air.
Splat.
Some invisible force crushed the green lizard's head outright, sending blood raining down.
The divine servant's enormous, headless body crashed to the ground, shaking the entire banquet hall and dealing another tremendous shock to the Evil Believers.
Such a powerful divine servant was as insignificant as an ant before their opponent.
They dared not imagine just what level this young man with a Nine Provinces face had reached. Even in this supernatural world full of unknowns, he was probably among those at the very top, wasn't he?
Before him, weren't they all doomed?
Just as the Evil Believers sank into utter despair, a cacophony came from afar. All manner of chaotic mutterings abruptly filled the hall, lingering around everyone's ears like a revived Ancient God spreading its faith to them.
Some looked up in horror.
