After devouring two more ghosts, the hammer weighed over a pound. Its color deepened, and a second ghost crawled out of it.
It was a farmer who looked anything but honest, his deathly pale eyes darting about as though he was quite adept at deceiving people.
But when facing Jiang Chen, he put away his little schemes. His face showed both reverence and deep wariness.
"What's that supposed to mean? You're acting like I've cheated you before." Jiang Chen was rather speechless. Facing this terrifying ghost creature, he was no longer as afraid as he had been last time.
"As long as the hammer keeps devouring ghosts, it can grow heavier and stronger, and summon more ghost creatures. My physical fitness seems to have improved a little too. Looks like this really is a treasure."
