Ch. 521Ichigo Kurosaki vs. Yhwach / The Triune True God

Ichigo Kurosaki confronted Yhwach at the Soul King Palace, but Yhwach used the All-Knowing All-Powerful to break Ichigo’s Bankai and strip away his Hollow and Quincy powers. After taking Orihime Inoue’s Power of Rejection, Yhwach left Ichigo helpless and grieving.

Aizen fought Yhwach but could not overcome his control of the past, present, and future, so he stalled until Yamabuki Chidori arrived. Chidori took Yhwach to Hell to prevent their battle from destroying Soul Society, and the two prepared to fight.

  • Yamabuki Chidori returned to Soul Society, where Monk urged him to become Soul King, but Chidori had the characters carved onto Aizen instead.
  • Yamabuki Chidori retired alongside Retsu Unohana and Captain Commander Yamamoto, while Isane Kotetsu and Shunsui Kyōraku took over their respective posts.
