I started going to work as usual.
Before this, I hadn't been to work for over a month.
On my first day back, a client came in.
But this was An Ning's client, someone she'd brought in by handing out flyers. We paid to print the flyers ourselves, and each one carried our own contact information.
Honestly, I found it unbelievable that An Ning had managed to get a client.
A client being interested in viewing a property didn't mean the deal would go through. An Ning couldn't even handle the simplest conversation with people, so her chances of closing a deal were less than one percent.
To improve the odds of closing, Meng Yifan had me go with An Ning and do the talking.
As for the commission, I certainly wouldn't take it from An Ning, and Meng Yifan knew that too.
The person who had died in this haunted house was a single mother with a kindergarten-aged child.
One day, the single mother had died suddenly at home from exhaustion and illness. When the child's kindergarten teacher noticed the child hadn't attended for two days and couldn't reach the mother by phone, the teacher paid a home visit and discovered that the child's mother had died at home.
This didn't actually count as a haunted house, but in most people's eyes, that was exactly what it was.
As it happened, the client viewing the property today was also a woman. Her surname was Su, she was twenty-seven, and she was unmarried.
The chances of closing were even lower with a female client, because most women were naturally afraid of these things. An Ning was an exception.
After looking around, Ms. Su was actually very pleased with the two-bedroom apartment with a living room, and the price was affordable
