The Village Chief obediently walked toward the house with its lights on.
I watched from a distance as he went inside. About ten seconds later, I heard him cursing inside.
Less than another minute passed before two people came out.
The two of them headed straight away from the place.

Sure enough, the Village Chief wasn't behaving himself. He had sent those two to alert the others.
Once they were far away, I hurried into the house and soon heard a woman crying.

Forcing down the urge to stab him, I hurriedly got Liang Qianqian dressed, then held the Village Chief at knifepoint and came out of the house.
