We hadn't slept all night, only dozed off in a bedroom.
In the morning, Zhang Qihong called us downstairs for breakfast, but we didn't go.
When he was leaving the house, he called me aside and said he had some business to attend to in town.
"If you want something to eat, you can go to any household and give them a little money."
Zhang Qihong said, "If you don't mind the trouble, you can also cook for yourselves here at my place."
I nodded. "All right. Sorry for the trouble, Mr. Zhang."
Zhang Qihong smiled. "It's no trouble, but I don't recommend going to Tang Village. Just look around our village. There's nothing fun in Tang Village."
I hesitated for a moment, feeling a little embarrassed. "We came here specifically for Tang Village. We're mostly just curious. We've never seen what an abandoned village looks like. Don't worry, we'll be careful."
He said nothing more, gave me a key to the front door, and left.
About twenty minutes after he left, I called An Ning and Yi Yang out and told them to leave immediately.
Then I gave them Master Sun's number and told them to call him and have him drive out to pick them up along the road.
Before leaving, An Ning pulled me aside and urged, "Be careful, then. Don't let anything happen to you. I'll wait for you in town."
I smiled. "Don't worry. I know my limits. At least for now, I value my life more than anyone."
After An Ning and Yi Yang left, I looked toward Tang Village.
I suspected that Zhang Qihong hadn't gone into the city at all. He had probably gone to Tang Village.
There was definitely a group of people lying in wait for me in Tang Village
