"Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!"
With explosions ringing out overhead, everyone ran for their lives, desperately searching anywhere that looked like an armory.
Unsure how much longer Ye Lin could hold out, He Zheng kept asking Huang Liang urgently:
"Huang Liang, where the hell are we going!? Where are there still weapons!?"
His lungs felt ready to burst. With Lin Yu on his back, every breath carried the metallic sweetness of blood.
He had no idea how things were going for Ye Lin. He was terrified that the next moment would bring news of Ye Lin's death!
Huang Liang was breathing heavily too. But he could not be sure of the answer either, and could only struggle to compare the numbers marked along the passages.
"Area A! There might be weapons in Area A!"
"Our ambush site was in Zone C. We ran straight into Area B, so Area A should be up ahead! There might be some there!"
Without stopping to see whether He Zheng understood, Huang Liang struggled to recall the weapons list he had seen in the Combat Readiness Area.
Just as Ye Lin had suspected, he had seen plenty of heavy weapons on that list.
They simply had not found where any of them were stored yet.
But based on his past experience, the warehouses holding those heavy weapons had to be far from the Energy Area.
The nuclear power plant was on the far right of the base, so those weapons warehouses were most likely on the far left.
The problem was that the search area was too large. Every area had ten numbered sections spread across five levels. They had no way to determine where another armory might be.
Suddenly, Lin Yu seemed to think of something and blurted out:
"Could it be in A10!?"
