Ch. 321[Transcendence]: Anduriel

Ye Lin and the others discovered that the Starshatterer was a fourth-tier entrant named Anduriel, whose arrival devastated the battlefield and whose psychic gaze reached Ye Lin through the surveillance feed. After Anduriel located their position, Ye Lin urgently asked Zhuanxu whether it could attack the Star Voyager.

  • He Zheng reacted in terror when the system revealed that the Starshatterer was fourth tier, and Ye Lin ordered Zhuanxu to search the surveillance feeds for it.
  • Ye Lin deduced that Lin Yu was fleeing in the opposite direction from the Starshatterer and told Zhuanxu to find humans moving faster than Mach 1.
  • Zhuanxu found footage of Lin Yu flying ahead of a vast storm as the Starshatterer crashed into the battlefield in a destructive blast.
  • The system identified the Star Voyager as Anduriel, and its psychic gaze through the camera left Ye Lin stunned before the system sealed its abilities.
  • Anduriel locked onto Ye Lin and the others, and Ye Lin asked Zhuanxu whether it could attack the approaching Star Voyager.

Ch. 322[Transcendence]: Anomalous Sun

Ye Lin and the others watched the Star Voyager race toward the City of the Other Shore at a speed no conventional defense could stop. Searching for the missing clue to the Celestial Crisis, An Ke looked at the Sun and found that it had never erupted.

  • Ye Lin activated the remaining air defenses at Military Base 09 and Military Base 11 as the Star Voyager began accelerating toward the City of the Other Shore.
  • Zhuanxu tracked the Star Voyager reaching Mach 24 before losing him, while Base 11's missiles detonated in his shock wave.
  • He Zheng, An Ke, and Huang Liang urged Ye Lin to find a way to escape before the Star Voyager reached the city.
  • Ye Lin realized the observation apparatus was their last chance to find a clue and agreed to let An Ke inspect the Sun.
  • An Ke returned from the observation chamber trembling and told Ye Lin that nothing was wrong with the Sun and it had never erupted.

Ch. 323[Transcendence]: Timeline

An Ke found no abnormality in the Sun, leaving Ye Lin and the others unable to explain the Celestial Crisis. As the Star Voyager approached, Ye Lin realized that the mystery might involve time itself.

  • An Ke reported that the Sun appeared normal, overturning the group’s assumptions about the disaster.
  • Huang Liang suggested that sunlight might be dangerous, but An Ke pointed out that they were trapped at the South Pole during polar night and could not safely expose themselves to the Sun.
  • Zhuanxu warned that the Star Voyager would reach the protected-zone barrier in thirteen minutes, and He Zheng urged Ye Lin to open the Dyson Sphere.
  • Ye Lin rejected He Zheng’s proposal and questioned why the Sun, the monsters, and the blocked escape routes were connected to the crisis.
  • An Ke suggested that nearby planets were causing the Celestial Crisis, but Ye Lin began to explain why that was impossible before realizing that time was wrong.

Ch. 324[Transcendence]: The Truth About the Celestial Bodies

Ye Lin pieced together clues about the Safe Zone’s star chart and the history of the catastrophe, concluding that the Solar System had not yet passed through the Milky Way. He revealed that the apparent stars were tens of billions of Star God Demons, leaving An Ke, Huang Liang, and Zhuanxu confronted with the true nature of the sky.

  • Ye Lin ordered Zhuanxu to display the stars and asked Huang Liang to confirm that the Safe Zone’s sky resembled the one he had seen at Earth’s South Pole.
  • Ye Lin argued that the familiar star chart could not depict the sky of a Solar System that had reached the Milky Way’s center, and questioned why gravity and bullets showed no gravitational interference.
  • Ye Lin concluded that Earth remained in the Milky Way’s lower disk and that the stars had moved overhead at terrifying speed.
  • Ye Lin explained that Eve had scrambled the timeline: the Solar System had not yet passed through the galaxy, while Energy-Absorbing Monsters had consumed enough energy to become stars.
  • Ye Lin declared that the apparent stars were tens of billions of Star God Demons.

Ch. 325[Transcendence]: Luring them away

Ye Lin and his teammates learned that the stars were Star God Demons, but their examination progress remained at 97% because they still needed to find a way to lure the demons away. As the Star Voyager approached, Huang Liang suddenly claimed he had discovered why the Dyson Sphere had been built.

  • The system revealed the hidden Star God Cataclysm scenario and ordered Ye Lin’s team to finish their progress and leave the examination.
  • Ye Lin explained that knowing the danger was not enough; they still had to find a solution to earn system protection.
  • An Ke reasoned that earlier teams had escaped by luring the Star God Demons away and proposed using exploding Starships and sunlight as bait.
  • Ye Lin pointed out that An Ke’s plan depended on several dangerous gambles and that the approaching Star Voyager left them too little time.
  • Huang Liang interrupted and told Ye Lin that he knew why the Dyson Sphere had been built.

Ch. 326[Transcendence]: Switch

Huang Liang proposed using the Dyson Sphere as a lampshade to lure the Star God Demons away, and Ye Lin led the effort to activate it through quantum communication. As the others prepared weapons and Huang Liang stayed behind to manage Zhuanxu, the Star Voyager slowed and its estimated impact time shifted to 17 or 23 minutes.

  • Huang Liang explained that they could adjust the Dyson Sphere’s opening to direct sunlight and lure the Star God Demons away.
  • Ye Lin learned from Zhuanxu that the Dyson Sphere could be controlled through a quantum communication system in Zone E, though activation could not be stopped once begun.
  • An Ke warned that opening the Dyson Sphere might trigger the Star God Demons to mutate, but Huang Liang argued that an arc-shaped gap and the eight-minute light delay would give them time.
  • Ye Lin decided to go to Zone E while He Zheng and An Ke searched for weapons, and Huang Liang stayed behind to control Zhuanxu.
  • Zhuanxu warned that the Star Voyager had slowed, revising its estimated impact time first to 17 minutes and then to 23 minutes.

Ch. 327[Transcendence]: Teleportation across the stars

Ye Lin and the others activated the Dyson Sphere to lure the Star God Demons away and prepare to escape, while Ye Lin remained suspicious of the Star Voyager’s slowed approach. As the Dyson Sphere opened, the demons surged toward the gap as a unified superorganism, and Transcendence progress climbed to 97.2%.

  • He Zheng brought Ye Lin a Magnetic-Fluid Jet Cannon and reported that the City of the Other Shore also had powerful external and space-based weapons.
  • Ye Lin prepared to activate the Quantum Communication System and questioned why the Star Voyager had slowed down despite pursuing them.
  • Ye Lin warned the others that they should avoid fighting the Star Voyager, while An Ke noticed his unease about the ship’s behavior.
  • Huang Liang confirmed that they could open the Dyson Sphere, and Ye Lin directed him to open selected sections to lure the Star God Demons away.
  • The Dyson Sphere unfolded, revealing the nearby Star God Demons moving together as a single superorganism, and Transcendence progress reached 97.2%.

Ch. 328[Transcendence]: Filling the Gaps

Ye Lin and his allies tried to clear the starry sky around the Dyson Sphere so they could launch, but waves of Star God Demons refilled the opening. With no time to clear them all, Ye Lin ordered Huang Liang to open a third of the Sun while the group prepared to stop the approaching Star Voyager; An Ke suddenly sensed a terrifying new threat.

  • Ye Lin asked Huang Liang how long it would take to lure away the remaining monsters, and Huang Liang estimated about a minute.
  • The progress stalled when Star God Demons refilled the cleared patch of sky, and Huang Liang realized one opening could not lure them all away.
  • Huang Liang warned that Earth would be discovered before he could open a sufficiently large area of the Sun.
  • Ye Lin proposed opening the far side of the Sun, then ordered Huang Liang to open a third of it immediately.
  • Ye Lin told He Zheng and An Ke to prepare to hold off the Star Voyager, but An Ke suddenly reacted with overwhelming fear.

Ch. 329[Transcendence]: Death descends

The real Star Voyager emerged inside the City of the Other Shore and overwhelmed Ye Lin with attacks that left him near death. As He Zheng tried to intervene, the Star Voyager evaded his cannon fire and reassembled, leaving the group with no apparent way to save Ye Lin.

  • An Ke warned Ye Lin as the real Star Voyager emerged from the wall above him.
  • Ye Lin transformed, but the Star Voyager struck him into a crater and left him gravely injured.
  • Ye Lin used Star Flash to evade a second attack, though the Star Voyager continued attacking and hurled a torn metal wall at him.
  • The metal wall struck Ye Lin and blasted half his body apart as He Zheng watched in horror.
  • He Zheng fired the magnetic flux cannon, but the Star Voyager dispersed into metallic mist, evaded the blast, and reassembled behind Ye Lin.

Ch. 330[Transcendence]: Death

Ye Lin was trapped in the Star Voyager’s grip, and An Ke sacrificed herself to give He Zheng a chance to fire the Magnetic-Flow Cannon. The cannon struck the Star Voyager after it killed An Ke, and He Zheng dragged Ye Lin away as they fled.

  • The Star Voyager seized Ye Lin and drained his star energy, preventing him from escaping or using the shielding crystal.
  • An Ke used the Position-Swap Command to take Ye Lin’s place, then restrained the Star Voyager so He Zheng could reach the Magnetic-Flow Cannon.
  • He Zheng fired the Magnetic-Flow Cannon, but the Star Voyager broke free of An Ke’s restraints and seized her.
  • An Ke burned out her Hair Tie to hold the Star Voyager in place and shouted for Ye Lin to run, but the Star Voyager crushed her before the cannon beam hit.
  • The system announced An Ke’s death and deducted points from the Soul Peace Team as the cannon struck the Star Voyager.
  • He Zheng grabbed Ye Lin and fled while the Star Voyager was swallowed by the cannon’s black light and electric field.

Ch. 331[Transcendence]: A desperate situation

He Zheng fled with the nearly unconscious Ye Lin as the Star Voyager broke free and pursued them through the passages. Though the Shielding Crystal hid their location, Ye Lin was being drained of life, and the Star Voyager’s spreading particles were closing in.

  • He Zheng escaped with Ye Lin after An Ke died, while Huang Liang watched the Star Voyager tear free of the passage.
  • Huang Liang told He Zheng to crush Ye Lin’s Shielding Crystal, which blocked the Star Voyager’s lock, then directed him down the passage to the right.
  • He Zheng realized Huang Liang was trying to lure the Energy-Absorbing Monster away and begged to know whether they could still escape, but Huang Liang only apologized.
  • Silver patterns spread across Ye Lin’s body and drained his life, so He Zheng pressed the energy crystals from the Magic-Energy Lizards against him.
  • Ye Lin absorbed the crystals, but they barely slowed his decline as the Star Voyager broke free and spread silvery-white particles through every passage.

Ch. 332[Transcendence]: Betrayal

As the Star Voyager closes in and the system exposes their location, Ye Lin and He Zheng are trapped between it and the Energy-Absorbing Monsters, while Huang Liang admits he intended to use them as bait. He Zheng sacrifices himself so Ye Lin can survive, leaving Ye Lin restored but grieving over his friend’s body.

  • He Zheng wakes Ye Lin as the silver mist approaches, and Ye Lin learns the shielding crystal has been crushed for five or six seconds.
  • Huang Liang directs them through the base, seals Alloy Doors behind them, and tries to use the Energy-Absorbing Monsters to delay the Star Voyager while he works on the Dyson Sphere.
  • A system location marker appears beneath He Zheng, allowing the Star Voyager to target them; it fires a devastating metal jet, and Ye Lin uses Star Flash to escape with him.
  • The doors open ahead of schedule, revealing a swarm of Energy-Absorbing Monsters, and Huang Liang admits he cannot save He Zheng and Ye Lin and planned to use their bodies as bait.
  • He Zheng realizes Ye Lin can survive by devouring him, takes the Sacrificial Dagger, and drives Ye Lin’s hand into his own skull, urging him to resurrect Yang Qiao and go home.
  • The system announces He Zheng’s death, and Ye Lin’s perfected one prototype devours He Zheng’s life force, repairing Ye Lin as he silently mourns his friend.

Ch. 333[Transcendence]: Progress 100%!

Ye Lin reached the required transcendence progress as Huang Liang sacrificed himself to ignite Jupiter and give him a way to survive. The system announced the Soul Peace Team had met the boarding requirements and ordered them to leave the examination as Ye Lin escaped the Star Voyager’s attack.

  • Ye Lin completed the Perfected One Prototype and, pursued by the Star Voyager, fought his way through the Energy-Absorbing Monsters while struggling with his overloaded mind and failing strength.
  • Huang Liang told Ye Lin that crashing the Jupiter Resource Collection Station into Jupiter could ignite its hydrogen atmosphere, then urged Ye Lin to use his corpse to teleport.
  • Huang Liang shot himself in the Control Center as the station exploded in Jupiter’s atmosphere, igniting the planet and drawing the Star Voyager’s attention.
  • Grieving Huang Liang, He Zheng, and An Ke, Ye Lin faced the approaching Star Voyager and prepared to fight back with the Hell Sword.
  • The system announced that transcendence progress had reached 100% and the Soul Peace Team had met the boarding requirements; Ye Lin vanished as the Star Voyager struck through the wall.

Ch. 334[Transcendence]: Rescue

Aroro faced a choice between escaping, killing the helpless Ye Lin for points, and risking his life to rescue him as the Starshatterers approached. He chose to save Ye Lin and led two goblins out of the starship, leaving their fate uncertain.

  • Aroro waited at the starship while Ye Lin returned alone, bloodied and barely conscious, after the rest of the group failed to appear.
  • A powerful aura from the base revealed that the Starshatterers were closing in, and Aroro froze inside the ship's protective barrier.
  • Aroro considered abandoning or killing Ye Lin to secure his own survival and earn points, but remembered how Ye Lin and the others had protected him.
  • Aroro declared that he would not betray his companions and ordered the goblins to help him rescue Ye Lin.
  • The two goblins followed Aroro as they charged out of the starship toward Ye Lin.

Ch. 335[Transcendence]: Beyond-limit rewards

Aroro and two Goblins carried the gravely injured Ye Lin toward the Starship while the Star Voyager pursued them. Ye Lin awakened just in time to teleport them aboard, where the system confirmed an S-Rank survival clear and beyond-limit rewards as the Star Voyager struck the barrier.

  • Aroro and two Goblins reached Ye Lin and struggled to carry him toward the Starship as the Star Voyager entered the City of the Other Shore.
  • The Star Voyager hurled a mass of metal at the fleeing group, killing one Goblin and closing in on the others.
  • Ye Lin awakened and teleported himself, Aroro, and the remaining Goblin through the system barrier onto the Starship.
  • The system confirmed the Soul Peace Team's option-two completion and S-Rank survival clear, awarding points, ratings, a special draw, and punishment exemption.
  • The Star Voyager arrived too late and punched the system barrier as explosions erupted outside.

Ch. 336[Transcendence]: Destruction

Ye Lin escaped the Star Voyager aboard a Starship and vowed to kill it. He crushed the Control Core, triggering the Celestial Body Cataclysm and forcing all examinees to leave as a vast creature emerged from the Sun and the Energy-Absorbing Monsters attacked the Star Voyager.

  • Nearly a hundred Starships launched, allowing Ye Lin to escape the hangar while the Star Voyager's strike against the barrier broke its fist.
  • The Star Voyager mocked Ye Lin and promised to hunt him again, but Ye Lin stood with Aroro's support and vowed to kill it.
  • The Star Voyager recognized the Control Core in Ye Lin's hand and warned him not to destroy it, but Ye Lin crushed it anyway.
  • The system announced that the scenario had changed to Celestial Body Cataclysm and ordered all examinees to leave immediately.
  • A corpse-like arm thrust out of the Sun, and the Energy-Absorbing Monsters rushed toward the Star Voyager as it threatened Ye Lin and the Starshatterer Alliance.

Ch. 337Return from the fourth examination

Lin Yu and Green Dragon discussed Ye Lin’s survival and his prospects with the Patrollers, then realized he had destroyed the Control Core to target the Star Voyager. Ye Lin was teleported out of the examination as the Star Voyager’s vast Mothership and its captive population waited at the edge of the Solar System.

  • Green Dragon accused Lin Yu of helping Ye Lin, but Lin Yu insisted he had only traded him a Jamming Stone.
  • Lin Yu and Green Dragon debated whether Ye Lin was a suitable recruit, with both recognizing that his choices had put him at risk.
  • Green Dragon sensed the examination’s difficulty changing and discovered that Ye Lin had destroyed the Control Core.
  • Lin Yu realized Ye Lin intended to kill the Star Voyager, while Green Dragon hurried his team to escape and condemned Ye Lin’s decision.
  • Lin Yu sent Ye Lin’s information onward, and Ye Lin, Aroro, and the others were teleported out of the examination.
  • Tens of thousands of Starships and a Mothership filled with hundreds of millions of people in Nutrient Pods remained at the edge of the Solar System.

Ch. 338Rewards and Problems

After returning from the exam, Ye Lin discovered that the perfected one prototype was causing mental collapse, and he rejected a repair that would erase its abilities. He found that raising his willpower might solve the problem, then learned he had nearly 600 points and an S-Rank reward from being hunted by three teams, rewards he believed came from the deaths of An Ke and the others.

  • Ye Lin woke from the repair beam with worsening headaches and hallucinations caused by the perfected one prototype.
  • The system offered Perfect Repair for 90 points, but Ye Lin refused because it would erase the prototype's abilities and the Star God Demon.
  • Ye Lin paid 2.7 points to search for ways to resolve mental collapse and found that increasing his willpower was his most feasible option.
  • Ye Lin checked his results and discovered he had 594.8 points, two Grade A ratings, three Grade B ratings, and one S-Rank rating.
  • Ye Lin learned that surviving pursuit by three teams had earned him 300 points and an S-Rank reward, and he believed those rewards represented the lives of An Ke and the others.

Ch. 339Resurrection

After He Zheng, An Ke, and Huang Liang died, Ye Lin sought a way to resurrect them, but the system rejected his query as classified. Aroro contacted him to express the Red Star Goblins’ gratitude and asked whether Ye Lin wanted to resurrect them.

  • Ye Lin grieved over He Zheng, An Ke, and Huang Liang’s sacrifice and resolved to find a way to bring them back.
  • Ye Lin asked the system about resurrection, but it said the query was classified and could not be answered.
  • Ye Lin received a call from Aroro, who reported that he had returned safely with eighty-seven points.
  • Aroro thanked Ye Lin on behalf of the Red Star Goblins and asked if Ye Lin wanted to resurrect his fallen companions.

Ch. 340Clues and Anomalies

Ye Lin learned from Aroro that people had returned from the dead in the War Zone and suspected the Patrollers knew how resurrection worked. Aroro warned that resurrection came at a price and that teams connected to it later died suspiciously, leaving Ye Lin to weigh seeking answers from the dangerous Patrollers.

  • Ye Lin asked Aroro about resurrection, and Aroro said the Red Star Empire had seen people disappear from the War Zone rankings and later return.
  • Aroro explained that civilizations experienced the Death Exam differently and suggested the Patrollers were among its earliest participants.
  • Aroro said Lin Yu had seemed to miss being human, leading Ye Lin to suspect a Patroller had resurrected him while preserving his human identity.
  • Ye Lin tried to contact Lin Yu through his System Wristwatch but found the ID grayed out.
  • Aroro warned Ye Lin that the Patrollers were dangerous and that teams suspected of resurrection had later died under suspicious circumstances.
